The Cave Of Two Lovers

Over the next few days they were both vying for Katara's attention. Weirdly enough they both forgot about the young monk who had been with Katara from the beginning. Katara noticed how Zuko and Jet were behaving, she reallized that they were trying to win her over. Katara saw an opportunity, she decided she was going to have fun with it.

"I need some fire wood. Could someone help me get some?" Katara asked.

"I will." Zuko and Jet said in unison, both standing up.

"One of you come, I don't care who." Zuko reached her first. He walked in front of Katara and picked up firewood. To his bewilderment he was pinned to a tree with ice. "I want to know what is going on between you and Jet. And I want to know now."

"What do you mean?" He said melting the ice.

"Don't act like its nothing it is something and I need to know."

"Okay. I don't like him and he doesn't like me. So we are being a little competitive."

"I would almost believe it except competing over what?"

"Affection I guess."

"Well I am going to help you win. I know you are fighting over someone, I am not sure who though."

"It's you."

"What? I am putting a stop to this." Zuko just grabbed her hand and shook his head no.

"Let's make Jet believe this. Let's make him regret whatever he did to you."

"How do you know he did something?"

"I see it in your eyes." Zuko responded before picking up her and the firewood and carrying them both back to camp. Once they got back to camp everyone noticed that Katara was friendlier to Zuko. In fact after dinner Zuko chased Katara trying to tickle her while she ran and laughed. But sadly no one noticed the changes in the Avatar. He had seen what happened earlier but only heard parts of it.

He had thought they were taking about him kissing Katara because he only heard Zuko say "Let's make him regret whatever he did to you."

Then Katara respond "How do you know he did anything?"

"I can see it in your eyes." Aang didn't stay a second longer he left very upset and determined. Determined to make it up to Katara.
