The Cave Of Two Lovers

Chapter 4

"Well, we should probably get going. We want to get to Omashu as soon as possible." Aang said optimistically.

"And get as far away from this tunnel as possible." Sokka added. They all started into the cave. They heard a rumbling then the tunnel opening was closed off.

"Is everyone okay?" Zuko yelled with real concern. "Katara... Sokka, Aang, Toph, are you alright?" He put the most emphasis on Katara's name. The way he spoke was almost as if Sokka, Aang, and Toph were all an afterthought.

"We are all fine." Toph said. "Well that came out of nowhere"

"Zuko you spoke as if you had a concern for someone other than yourself, your mother, or your uncle." Katara said her words like daggers. Zuko just stared down at his feet. 'I care about you' thought Zuko but he couldn't possibly admit it. He would probably be frozen to the spot though.

"Oh no! This can't be happening again. I am not going to be split up from Katara and Aang again." Sokka yelled falling down to his knees. They kept walking, Katara trying to calm Sokka down. It started with a slow rumbling. Toph asked what it was no one knew what she was talking about. Then it got louder and everyone could hear it. Sokka was really freaking out again.

"No no nononononononononononononononononono!!! This can't be happening. Not again." Sokka ranted on and on.

Then the ceiling starts falling, Aang airbends Sokka and Toph out of the way into one tunnel and starts to run to push Katara out of the way like the first time. But Zuko got there first. He pushed her so she was on top of him, so she wouldn't get hurt, and when they landed he grunted. He then rolled so she was under him, protecting her from any falling rock, but he was supporting his own weight on his hands. She got up and pushed Zuko off her. "Dang it." She said as she assesed the situation. "We are closed in here. AANG, AANG CAN YOU HEAR ME?" She yelled the last part. 'Hopefully this isn't like last time with Aang but instead of Aang it is Zuko I am trapped with.' She thought.

"KATARA I CAN HEAR YOU I AM GOING TO EARTHBEND THIS WALL AWAY. BACK UP." Zuko and Katara both back up. They hear a crumble then Aang yells. "I TRIED IT BUT MORE ROCK CAME DOWN. I AM GOING WITH TOPH AND SOKKA. SEE YOU AT THE OTHER END. ALSO KATARA PLEASE DON'T KILL ZUKO." Katara scowls and starts to walk away. Zuko grabbed her wrist and spun her around to face him.
