The Cave Of Two Lovers

Chapter 5

"Katara what happened last time you guys were here?"

"Well..." Katara started. "Last time we were in here with some singing nomads. The fire nation was behind us and they trapped us in here. Later some rocks fell and Sokka got trapped with the nomads and I was with Aang. We all got out safely. Sokka and the nomads got out with the badgermoles."

"Oh. Well how did you and Aang get out?"

Katara whispered her response. "Well we kind of found the tomb of the two lovers and then we kissed and escaped."

"You and Aang kissed." Zuko said jealousy raging within him.

"Yeah, as a way to get out. Hopefully we don't have to." He was hoping for the kiss to become a nessecary for him.

"I could think of worse things." Zuko responded.

Sokka, Aang, and Toph's POV

"Katara!" Whispered the now broken boy. Sokka was currently hyperventilating and Toph was the only person to keep it together.

"Aang, Sokka. Look this is where I learned earthbending. I am sure I could earthbend us out of here or the badgermoles could. Once we get out we give Katara and Zuko a couple hours then if they don't show up, then: we look for them." Toph says. Aang had a glimmer of hope in his eyes and Sokka had stopped hyperventilating. Toph earthbent them out and they got comfy. But only after Sokka drew a sundial so they would know when each hour passed. Aang and Toph both fell asleep on Appa because he had flew to where the cave let out with Momo while Sokka fell asleep right near the dial. They were asleep until...

Katara and Zuko POV

"I can't believe I didn't think of that." Katara said aloud in disbelief.

"What didn't you think of before?" Asked a very confused Zuko who honestly was hoping to save the day for Katara so she would accept him a bit more.

"What if you don't need to kiss but you just had to put out the lights? Zuko stop fire bending!" Katara commanded. Zuko put out the light in his hand and the crystals didn't light up. Zuko pulled Katara into a hug whispering into her ear.

"Would you like me to kiss you to get us out of here?" Zuko asked politely. Katara turned to him pulled his head down and kissed him.

After a couple seconds Katara broke away and followed the lights. Zuko stood dumbfounded then ran after her. Once they got to the end they hid because they heard the three familiar voices then a fourth one. Katara's face showed a sliver of happiness but also some sadness. She then ran out into...
