Chapter Five

Megan's p.o.v.

As i walk into the house, i get an uneasy feeling in my stomach. I look into the kitchen and find my brother there with a few mates. I smile politely at them before getting a bottle of water from the fridge. As i go to leave, to head upstairs to my room, i hear my brother call out.

"Megan. Im going out tonight. I wont be back untill morning. When mum gets back saturday, tell her i was here every night."

I nod. I turn back around to leave when he adds that dreaded phrase.

"Oh and Megan... Please eat tonight."

I ignore him and head up stairs. I decide to have a nap. As soon as my head touches the pillow, im gone.

When i wake up, i can hear the phone ringing. Its Chloe. What is wrong with her. I check my mobile. 14 missed calls. I quickly called her back and as she blurted the news, i could feel my face paling. Oh no... Not the Alpha's son.

Cassie's P.o.v

I leave Chloes house and head home. My mind is all over the place. Mostly it's on Jonathan. He doesn't like me? Back when I was at Chloe's I pretended not to care but I DO, I really do and it frightens me but I want him to like me. My wolf agrees with me. He HAS to like me. I fee like I am lost in a big forest of problems. 'You will find a way' I hear my wolf say in my mind 'what if I don't' I think. She goes quiet and I am upset that I made her sad but I will make it up to her by going on a run after dinner.

"Hey little sis, you look sad and confused" I smile at my mom

"Just teenage and friend friendship drama" I say

"Ohhhh. Hun wanna talk about it? I remember that age and it was a very looooooooong way till I got out" I laugh, my mom always knew how to make me smile and laugh when I need to.

"It's just the alphas son is my crush but he is going after Megan" I say in one breath "I don't want to be mean and selfish but I really really like him. I don't know what to do" at the end I break down and start crying. Mom rushes over to me as we hear the door slam shut.

"Hey.....what happened? If someone was mean to you I swear I will kill them" my dad stats rushing over to me

"No one did anything daddy it's just some drama and disappointment. That's all" I say

"Oh....well I am going to leave that to your mom you know I kick butt, not get all sentimental and stuff" my dad looked slightly uncomfortable. I smile and push him towards the door

"Go then" I say, then turning to my mom "can I go up to my room, do my homework then go for a run?"

"Oh I am sorry I invited the alphas family over and I can't let you go running with guests here."

"It's ok mom I understand." I say. Everyone says that I have matured faster then I should have but I don't see it. I am just trying to do what is right and what will help the pack and my family.

I go upstairs and get changed. I settle for a pair of high waist denim shorts and a black tee that hugged my body. I comb my tangled hair and brushed my teeth. I apply a touch of concealer under my eyes to brighten up my face then i hear the doorbell ring.

I take a deep breath, put on a fake smile and run down the stairs to get the door.
