Chapter Sixteen- Telling the world

Cassie's P.O.V.

I stood staring at him. I knew he was the one. I started to smile until i realized my inner wolf screaming at me about the rouge that was about to attack.

I spun around to face them and smiled a confident smile despite the deep sense of fear inside of me. I took a step towards the rogue much to his suprise.

Life lesson #32: Always act confident despite how you feel inside.

The 'ringleader' of the group growled at me in warning. I could feel myself shaking. I growled back. He took a step foward and i did too. We repeated this, stepping and growling, untill we were right in each others faces.

He lifted his paw to swipe me but i could hear Johnathan growl as a warning.

Protective mate much...

I swiped the rouges face and all hell broke loose as our three fought the large group of wolves who were clearly a lot bigger and a lot stronger.

After a very horrible fight, the rouges got bored of playing and savagely attacked Johnathan who fell to the floor in a heap before changing back to human form.

Megan and Me backed away as the rouges started to advance. Deciding that staying in wolf form was no use, we changed back. They also changed back but continued advancing. Despite the size of the wolves, the guys were only a few years older than me and megan.

One got too close to me and i shoved him back. I could hear Johnathan groaning so i presumed he had come around. The guy who i pushed grabbed my hair and pulled me right up to him so i could feel his warm breath on my face.

Out of the corner of my eye, i could see Megan come to help, only to be yanked back by another guy, who had his arm around her waist.

"Let go of me you pig. Thats my boyfriend over there. He will kill you for touching me."

"That guy... he's your boyfriend?"

Megan angrily stomped on his foot. The guy holding on my hair looked confused. He was putting the pieces together. Please dont say anything, I silently begged.

"But he's her mate..."

Megan looked really angry then shocked. She looked at me as if she had been betrayed. The guys let go of us, clearly trying to make us fight.

"Cassie. Is this true?"

I stood there dumbfounded. How did he know. I slowly nodded and her whole face fell.

"Why didnt you tell me?"

"Megan. I only found out he was my mate about ten minutes ago. He doesnt even know yet. I would of told you straight away but then this guy," i said pointing at the guy who grabbed me, "was about to attack me. Im so sorry."

She looked a tad better now that she knew i wasnt keeping secrets. The rouges looked bored and started to walk away but not before one of them kicked Johnathan who was still crumpled on the floor.

"Dont touch my man!"

Me and Megan both said in unison before bursting into laughter at Johnathan who was sitting up looking confused.

I slowly walked over to him and knelt down.

"Johnathan. Change."

He looked confused but did so anyway. I also changed and he sat there for no more than five seconds before the realization hit him. He looked panikly at Megan but she gave him a half smile.

"Its ok. I know."

Johnathan's p.o.v

I found my mate. Oh my god. I looked at Megan but she gave me a half smile.

"It's ok. I know." She said. I started to feel bad.

'What should I do?' I asked my wolf but before he could answer Cassie decided to speak up.

"I, Cassie, reject you, Jonathan, the future Alpha of Lunar Moon pack." Cassie says and I feel my heart break into little tiny pieces "there you go Megan. You can have him after all you are dating him" with that Cassie takes off.

"I-you" Megan takes a breath "I am breaking up with you. She is your mate and you should be with her."

"Wait" I say "did you ever explain to Cassie that we were only dating until one of us finds our mate?"

"No. I didn't get a chance. You will have to on your own."

"Gee thanks..."

A/N

Hi peeps. Chloe here. This was a joint chapter. Just for the record i think cassie and johnathan should of have a steamy make out session but Megan wanted it to be a rejection.

Very soon though, some charachters will have a proper kiss. ill make sure of it ;-)

hey Megan here well how about the readers decide if they want a steamy make out session for the next chapter and have Cassie accept him?
