Chapter Fourteen- The Day After

Hey guys. Chloe here. In this chapter we will get to know some side characters and what Cassie's worst fears are... ;-)

Cassie's P.o.v

I woke up the next morning feeling really tired and emotionally drained. I hadnt slept very well last night thinking of Johnathan and Megan. She was my best friend and all but I loved Johnathan and a horrible part of me wanted him to end things with her.

I went into the bathroom and stepped into the hot shower and started to relax a little as the water purified my confused thoughts.

Megan's P.o.v

I woke up feeling slightly better. Me and Johnathan had been mind linking each other last night. He said that Cassie seemed ok.

After having a shower and throwing some high waisted denim shorts on with a little red tee, I walked down the stairs to see my brothers mates hadnt left from the sleepover last night.

They barely acknowledged me but i saw my brother raise an eyebrow at me when i opened the cupboard door. Despite having a minor eating disorder, i got super bad cravings for foods other than apples and carrots.

I pulled out my mum's bag of sweets that she says only she is allowed but we all know they are my favourite and it is to tempt me to eat food.

I sit at the table across from the boys. They mutter their good mornings and i nod in reply. I pull a fudge out of the bag and they all watch me. I realised then that the two guys who are my bros best friends and who stay over at least 3 times a week, havent seen me eat anything since i was about twelve.

I raised the piece of fudge to my mouth and smile before saying,

"Im not really hungry now."

My brothers face was priceless. I popped the sweet in my mouth before walking upstairs to brush my teeth.

I could hear them muttering downstairs. They were probaly amazed.

I finished getting ready and headed down stairs to meet Johnathan at my door. I hopped in his car and we headed to school.

Cassie's p.o.v

We were all sitting around a table in the cafeteria making small talk. Megan was slowly eating an apple like normal whilst the rest of us tried to enjoy squishy pasta.

Johnathan finished his meal and turned to me, Chloe and Megan.

"How about we go down to the funfair after school?"

Chloe knew the evening would be awkward and made a polite excuse as to why she couldnt go, but was clearly lying through her teeth.

Megan eargerly nooded, a little to excitable than normal. Johnathan turned to me.

"I dont really want to be your third wheel thanks."

Whatever conversation had been taking place on the table ended upbruptly. Everyone turned to tune in on the conversation. Megan was looking very annoyed but Johnathan kept a calm and easy-going face.

"Come on. It wi be fun. Besides, it will give you two some time to sort out your differences."

Before i could say anything, Chloe butted in.

"You idiot. You are the difference. Megan has you. Cassie doesnts. Cassie wants you. You want Megan. Simple."

Real subtle Chloe. I could see Johnathan noticibly wince and i felt really sick.

"Ill come. Umm... It will be a laugh.. Yeahh. Whatever."

With that, I stood up and walked away, a single tear trickling down my face as i thought of a hundred 'What ifs'.

Johnathan's p.o.v

All day i couldnt stop thinking about Cassie walking away, about to cry. After school i rushed home to get ready. After grabbing my wallet of the side and spraying myself with deodrant, I left ready to go pick the girls up. First I went and got Cassie seeing as she lives in the same road before speeding off to find Megan.

We reached the funfair with no one saying a word. After paying our submission, we walked around for a bit. Megan wanted to go on the ghost train and i wanted to get on the ferris wheel.

I whispered to Megan that i was taking Cassie with me after i had figured out that she had a crazy fear of heights.

We reached the ferris wheel and she froze, looking up at the very top. Before she could run, i threw her over my shoulder and climbed aboard. I strapped her in despite her constant panicking.

Before she had a chance to get off, the ride had started and we were soaring higher and higher like birds in the sky. Once we reached the top, the ride stopped to let another family on.

I looked at Cassie who was covering her face with her hands. I took her hands and gently eased them away from her face. She looked out across the themepark with amazememt.

"Wow. Its beautiful."

I looked at her and i said the first thing i could think of.

Cassie's p.o.v

It was amazing up here. You could see for miles.

"Wow. It's beutiful."

Without a moments hesitation Johnathan smiled and said,

"So are you."

Then he leant in and kissed me.

Fireworks.

Ahhhh! Omg hes cheating and yet it was perfect. So cheesy that wotsits are jeolous.
