Chapter Seven

Cassie's P.O.V.

I didn't realise it until I was holding up the rouge trying to doge the claws and sharp teeth, I had changed back into human form. Out of the corner of my eye I saw what at first thought was a shadow, then I realised it was Jonathan. My arms were starting to tire and I new I was running out of time.

He telepathically told me to keep quiet as he crept behind the rouge. I tried to keep my focus but i was so scared that the rogue caught the side of my arm.

Blood was gushing everywhere. I hate the sight of blood so i went really dizzy. My arm dropped and the rouge landed on top of me. I knew the rouge could just finish me here and now.

With my eyes closed shut and my jaw clenched tightly, I waited for the attack. It never came. When I opened my eyes, Johnathan was back to human force walking over to me. I could see the rouge running in the distance, with a trail of blood behind him.

"What happened?" I asked curiosly.

"Not much, just made sure he knew who I am a that he would never forget me. Are you ok? Thats a lot of blood."

I looked at him with a fiery expression. If looks could kill...

"How very observant of you. You just passed your eye test." I said sarcastically.

He rolled his eyes but as he turned, i caught a glimpse of him smirking.

I followed him into a clearing. He took his jacket and wrapped it around my arm. As his fingers brushed my skin, i felt a tingle. Cassie! I scolded myself. He likes your best friend.

We walked back to my house and after explaining what happened to our parents, they decided to leave.

As i went to close the door after saying goodbye, Johnathan stuck his foot in the path of the door. I looked up at him.

"Make sure you keep it wrapped in gauze."

And with that he turned around and walked away. I went inside and said goodnight to my mum and dad. I went up to bed and instantly fell asleep.

Johnathan's P.O.V.

When i got home, i went upstairs. My hand reached for my phone but i decided against it. Megan would never say yes. Plus her friends have made it pretty clear that if I hurt here they will kill me. It didn't matter that I was going to be the Alpha.

I spent a good hour or so sat there deciding whether to give her a call or not. At last, I finally gave in and picked up my phone. I pressed her number into my dial pad and pressed the green call button before i could back out.

*Ring Ring. Ring Ring.*

"Hello?" Her soft beautiful voice was like music to my ears.

"Hey Megan. Its Johnathan. I was um.. just wondering..."

Smooth Johnny boy. Smooth.

"Johnathan? Is something wrong? Are you hurt?"

I was frozen. I couldnt form any words.

"I.. umm... Megan? I think i l.. lo... Megan I love you. Please be my girlfriend."

I sat waiting for her to say something.

Beeeeppp. She had put the phone down on me. My heart just broke in two.

Ting! I looked at my phone. It was a text message from Megan.

'Meet me at the Dusky Park in 45 minutes.'

I ran to my bathroom and took a shower. I got dressed in black chinos and a red tee shirt. I dried my hair before waxing it into spikes.

I checked myself over in the mirror before spraying some deodrant on and sprinting down the stairs.

"Mum. Dad. Im going out. Be back later. Bye!"

"John, its 11 o clock. Get back here now before-"

I slammed the door and make a quick jog to the park. I got there and looked around trying to find her. In the distance, by the lake, i could see a dark figure waiting.

As i ran over, i could see she was wearing blue shorts and a black tank top. Her long blonde hair waved around in the crisp night air. Her crystal blue eyes stared at me and we both stood there in silence looking at each other.

"Johnathan."

"Megan."

"I dont think this is-"

"Please Megan. Give me one chance. I love you." I jumped in before i could hear her reject me.

"Johnathan. Please let me finish."

She paused. I nodded and she carried on.

"Johnathan. This is wrong. Your parents would prefer you to grow up with Cassie. She is perfect and will make a perfect girlfriend."

"Megan. I dont think so. I would rather spend my life with you."

"Johnathan... I am not the right girl for you. I am not pretty or skinny. I am not confident or funny. I prefer a book to a party. Im sorry but-"

"Megan! Stop! Your perfect. I love you."

"I ... I.. love you too."

I leant in to kiss her and was met with her soft gentle lips. I wrapped my hands around her waist whilst she placed her hands on my chest.

You really are perfect, I think to myself.

So... Johnathan is now with Megan, Cassies best friend. How long will they stay together? Will Cassie and Chloe remain friends with Megan or not? Find out in the next chapter xx
