Evan has wrapped himself around him tightly. Jared rubs his eyes and turns to get his glasses from the night stand. He needs to get his clothes before Evan gets up. He nuzzles Jared's collarbone in his sleep. He's out still. He mumbles something about Zombies or something sleepily. He'll be up soon. Jared carefully peels Evan off of him and gets up to fetch his clothes.

Not long after he's clothed, Evan shoots up in bed and announces "I'm gonna vomit" before scrambling for the bathroom. Jared jogs after him.

"I'll get you some water." His first hangover!

"I hate you so much right no-" he vomits hard

"I know man, I'm sorry.."

"Fuck- bad decisions were made. Very bad decisions." He gives him his water.

"There. That should help."

"I feel terrible." he sips the water.

"Do... Do you want to stay home from school? I'm sure your mom will let you."

"I can't, I've got tests and stuff to do, I-I can't get behind on work this early on in the year. Just gotta push thr-" he vomits again. He rubs circles on his back. He's trying to help.

"Oh God, I feel like I'm dying. Does it always feel like this??"

"Not once you get used to it." Jared only had two beers

Evan had at least four. "I'm never doing that with you ever again, I don't even remember half the night." he appreciates the rubbing on his back.

"What... do you remember?"

"Don't laugh... but I can't remember shit after the first bottle."

"I'm so sorry." THANK GOD HE DOESN'T REMEMBER. Those feelings were too deep.

"Don't be, I let it happen. I gotta deal with it now." his alarm goes off in his room. "Oh man..."

"C'mon. You still wanna catch the bus right?"

"Yeah... Can you help me up? I can't feel some of my leg muscles and I don't know why."

"Yeah," he helps him get back to his room. Not looking as he gets dressed. He gathers everything and they head downstairs.

"Mom? Are you up?" She's not there. Probably took the night shift again.

"All right, no breakfast then. You want anything?"

"No, I'm good."

"Okay, then we should go." They both leave and get to the bus on time. It's a little weird when they get on the bus at the same time. They sit quietly, not really having much to say until Evan asks "So what happened after my memory stops?"

Jared pauses. "Uh, not much. We just talked. You told me some things about you that you probably wouldn't tell me sober but I said some things too."

"...... Oh..." it's not long before Conner gets on and Evan smiles weakly at him. "You look like shit, Tree boy."

"Acorn, had his first hangover this morning." Jared practically answers for him.
