"Your yogurt, your highness. I'm so sorry for the wait. I didn't know which flavor you wanted, so I brought all of them." I placed the tray on his table next to his couch and bowed deeply before I turned to walk out of his room.

"Th... Yo..." Again! Prince Kai glared at me and I whimpered in my head.

"I'm so sorry Prince Kai. I can't understand what you're saying." I walk closer to him cautiously.

"Than... You..." He still glares at me. I sigh, still clueless on what he was trying to tell me. Wait... Than You... THANK YOU?!!! My mind trips over itself. For a second, my body hesitates but then I remember my mannets and take a deep deep deep bow where my body's at a 115 degree angle. HE TOLD ME THANK YOU!!! This must be the devil's work. I stand straight up again and study Prince Kai's face. It looks exactly the same as it was a minute ago.

"No worries, your highness. It wasn't anything difficult. I'm so sorry for not understanding you earlier. Would you like me to take away the yogurt?" I throw in a bunch of words at once. He shakes his head and his face... changes? It looks a little... brighter. Was he happy? Ohmilord this might as well be the best day of my life!!! I bow again and exit his room, but this time, I smile a bit as I walk out. He looked a lot... better when he smiled. More... kind? Beautiful? Wait, I shouldn't be thinking these thoughts right now. I shake my head and slap my cheeks, willing myself to snap out of it. No doubt this was black magic. I can't be tricked.

"How was Prince Kai today?" My best friend asks me the question she did for the past week and she looks as if she already knows the answer.

"Today, I witnessed black magic. Right in front of me." I watch as her expression changes: bored to curious.

"Really? Tell me. What happened???" She strains her neck to lean in closer to me.

"You probably won't believe this either, but... Prince Kai told me... thank you." I watch her closely to see her reaction. Her expression changes again: curious to surprised.

"WHAT?!!! THAT- THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!" She almost screams those words out, and I immediately cover her mouth with my hands.

"SHUSHHH!!!!!" I place my index finger over my lips.

"Hmmm now that I think about it, it could be because of the tutor. I heard that the professor was helping Prince Kai with communication skills." She taps her chin.

"Well, maybe Prince Kai isn't so bad after all. But then again, he looked really mean while he was saying it to me. So maybe he was forced to say it to me." I tap my chin too.

"But have you noticed? Prince Kai's eyes are really sharp. Even when he's not glaring, it might look as if he is glaring. Don't you think?"

"Yeah. Maybe."

"You should experiment a little. Test it out. See if he's actually nice." She cocked her head.

"Yeah. Okay." I thought about it and decided to give it a try.
