I do not own Life Is Strange or any of its characters, nor do I own Carmilla and any of it's characters.

You got off the bus, hand in hand with your best friend in the whole world, B/F/N(best friend's name). You had been besties since the beginning of the year when you got sat next to each other in school. She was so cool, she had heelys.

You always walked her home, but never the other way around. Mama and daddy always smelled yucky when you got home, and the apartment was always messy. You didn't want B/F/N to see that.

A few houses down from her house, she stopped and you stopped with her. "What is it?" You asked, and she smiled, taking an envelope out of her bag.

"I'm having a birthday party this weekend. Do you wanna come?"  She asked, and you smiled really big. "Of course! Why wouldn't I?" You giggled and she smiled, handing you the envelope.

"Great! I'll see you tomorrow, Y/N!" She said before leaning over and pecking your cheek, blushing and running to her house. Your smile grew and you touched your cheek before sprinting down the street and to your house, throwing open the door and rushing inside.

You ran into the little kitchen where your mother was mixing a cocktail of some kind, smoking something that smelled foul. "Mama! Mama mama mam!!" You exclaimed, bouncing up and down.

"What? You're actin' like you snorted a pixie stick. Well get on with it Sweatpea, I don't have all day. Your daddy and I have company coming soon."  She said, sipping her drink as your father nodded from his chair in the little living room attached to the kitchen.

"B/F/N invited me to her birthday and she smiled really pretty at me and kissed me on the cheek, right here!" You grinned, bouncing and pointing to her cheek. "I'm gonna draw her the prettiest picture and give it to her and we're gonna get married when we're older and-"

"Woah woah woah there.. Slow your roll, kid. You're telling me you kissed another little girl?"  Your father said, leaning forward in his chair, a glare settling on his face. "No kid of mine's gonna be a fucking faggot."

"Harold that's enough." Your mother said to him, rolling her eyes and bending down to your level. "She can kiss girls if she wants, just not in this house. Not under our roof." She downed the rest of her cocktail and handed you the glass. "Would you go get more ice out of the cooler, Sweetpea? Daddy and I's friends are gonna be here any minute too, so go up to the room, 'kay? And don't forget there's chinese in the fridge."

You nodded and took the cup, running out of the room to go get ice from the little cooler in the upstairs closet. As you scooped up the ice you heard a crash and shouts from downstairs. You hung your head and hurried back down, handing the glass to your mother and grabbing the little container of cold noodles, going back upstairs as the door opened and more shouting and loud music and awful smells entered your home.

You shut the door behind you as you went into the room you shared with your parents, to the little bed in the corner where you ate your cold noodles and tried to sleep through the loud music and shouting. You kept waiting for the music to stop and for Mama and Daddy to come upstairs, saying mean things and making weird noises.

But none of that happens. Instead, even more loud noises come and there's shouting and bright lights flash outside your window. You sit up and peak through the blinds and watch as policemen take your father to a car and push him inside, along with your mother.

You hear someone on the stairs and the door opens. You jump to your feet and grab chopsticks from the Chinese container, pointing them at the person, until you realize its a police officer.

"It's okay.. I'm not here to hurt you.." She says, inching towards you. You hold your ground, gripping the chopsticks tightly. "My name is Diana, I'm not going to hurt you.. I'm here to take you somewhere safe.."

You slowly lower the chopsticks as she reaches out a hand for you to take. Hesitantly, you take her hand and she leads you out of the house and down to a car parked with all the other flashing police ones. As you get in you see all of the neighbors coming out to see what all the noise is about, among them B/F/N and her parents, watching as Diana from Social Services drives you away.
