I do not own Life Is Strange or any of it's characters, nor do I own Carmilla or any of it's characters. I just don't really have much of a life, you see.

You stood, looking at her. "Mother..." You said in a warning tone as she took a swig from the bottle walking over to you. You took a step back as she reached out to hug you, a look of disbelieve on your face.

"Mother, kitchen. Now." You all but spat, stalking off to the kitchen with your mother in tow. Once the door closed behind you all patience fleeted from your mind. "Mom, what the actual fuck are you doing here?" You glared, and she pouted.

"First of all, watch your language young lady. Secondly, It's thanksgiving Sweetpea, you'd really kick your mother out of such a holiday? I even brought a contribution to the meal." She smiled, gesturing to the bottle in her hand.

You sighed, trying not to lose your shit. "Mom you looking terrible, and you're shit faced. Why should I have you here, with the people who actually care about me-"

"Oh sweetpea I care, I came all the way here, didn't I?" She said, taking your hand. You pulled it back glaring at her. "-and that I care about." You finished. A look of hurt flashed in her eyes before she sighed.

"Y/N I am trying to be civil here..." She said, her patience being tried, you had to restrain a laugh. "Civil? Oh that's rich! Because you were sooo civil when I said I liked B/F/N. Or when you got out a few years ago and threatened Ned and Patty because they wouldn't give me to you. Right. Well you can go be civil somewhere else, because I'm trying to have a nice thanksgiving with my real family." You said, grabbing the bottle away from her and throwing it in the trash.

She looked like she wanted to go after it, but stood her ground for a moment. "Y/N I can be better.. I can be our mother again..." She said, a hopeful look in her eyes.

"Good Luck, Deandra." You said, and the hurt in her eyes when you called her by her first name was almost enough to make you take it back. Almost, but not quite. Taking the hint, she sighed and walked past you, through the diner and out the door. You ran a hand through your hair and stood there for a moment, leaning against a counter. After a few minutes you heard the kitchen door open and in walked Chloe, a concerned look on her face.

"Hey everything okay in here..?" She asked and you sighed. "I don't know.. Yeah.. I guess." The blue haired girl walked over and wrapped her arms around your waist, and you laid your head on her chest as she stoked your back. "Everything's going to be fine, N/N... I promise." She murmured, and you looked up at her.

       "Like what?"

"Hm?" She looked down at you. "Well, for starters, we've got each other. That's not ending anytime soon." She said with certainty. You lifted your head and put a hand to her cheek.

"How do yo know that.. what if something happens.. what if we get in another stupid fight.. what if-" She cut you off with a gentle kiss on your glossed lips.

"The world is built on 'what ifs'. We probably will fight, and things will undoubtedly happen, but we'll bounce back. We're not ending this anytime soon, and I know that because I love you, Y/N L/N.. I really really l-" You cut her off with another kiss, tears brimming in your eyes.

"I love you too, you asshole." You chuckled, smiling like an idiot. The two of you shared a passionate kiss before Ned  and Patty stuck their heads in the door, Ned coughing into his fist. "Everything okay in here, girls?"

You looked over at him and nodded, smiling. "Yeah.. Yeah Dad, Mom, everything's great."

Ned paused for a moment, tears coming to his eyes as he and Patty came in the room. You let go of Chloe and enveloped them both in a hug. "Thank you.. for everything..." You said, crying tears of joy. They hugged you back, before the four of you went back to the table.

The rest of the meal went wonderfully, and you found yourself thinking how good you had it. You had parents who loved you with everything they had, an amazing girlfriend and amazing friends, you had everything you had always wanted, and you couldn't think of anything better.
