Jess’ P.O.V
‘Tor what am I supposed to say to him.’ I whisper yelled into the phone. I looked around the once cluttered living room. I had sent most of the boxes to the postal company and they were on their way to England already. I had called Liam and asked him to pick the stuff up for me considering he was one of the only people I had talked to for a year. ‘I don’t know just try and do it fast and get here. The boys are all waiting for you and Ashton doesn’t have the most experience with babies.’ She chuckled the last part. I heard a car pull up in the driveway and I started to panic. ‘Ok he’s here. I’ll call you when I’m on my way. I feel so guilty.’ I sighed as I hung up the phone. The door shut lightly and I heard the footsteps of Matt’s designer shoes. ‘Hey honey. Um… where are all your things. Why do you have a suitcase?’ He trailed eyeing me and my suitcase.
‘Matt the thing is. We are from completely different worlds. You’re a big time lawyer. I’m a musician. When I’m out with you I have to act like the perfect girlfriend. I’m sorry but I’m not perfect. I’m not who you want me to be. I’m never going to be this perfect girlfriend. I’m sorry.’ I sighed. His eyes flashed with confusion, than sadness, than anger.
‘Are you still in love with him.’ He hissed, glaring at me. I locked down at my feet, not knowing what to do or say next. ‘Jessica. Do you still love him.’ He said, grinding his teeth together. ‘I’m sorry.’ I whispered, grabbing the handle of my suitcase. ‘Just get out.’ He hissed pointing towards the door. I didn’t think twice. I pulled the suitcase quickly towards the door, looking back once more to find Matt, standing staring at me, tears running down his face. It killed me to know that I caused this. ‘I’m so sorry.’ I said, as I walked out the door slamming it shut behind me. I hoped that I wouldn’t regret it.
‘he looked crushed Tor.’ I spoke into the phone, as I stood at the gas pump. ‘I’m sure he will be fine. It’s not like you’re going to see him again anyway. What’s the worst he can do?’ She said over the line. ‘Yeah your right. Tell Fletch and the boys that I will be there soon.’ I sighed into the phone, before hanging up. I quickly ran inside to pay so I could leave to the hotel as soon as I could.
‘Tori I’m back.’ I yelled pulling my suitcase through the open door. ‘In here.’ I heard Tori giggle. I guess she was playing with Fletcher. I walked in to find Luke and Tori sitting cuddled together with Fletcher, tickling his stomach. ‘You guys actually look like a family.’ I smiled, leaning against the door. I couldn’t help but giggle at the huge smiles spread across their faces. You could tell by the way that they looked at each other that they shared the same love. ‘We told Ashton that you were coming back. He wants you to meet him in the park across the road.’ Luke smiled before turning his attention back to Tori. ‘Alright. Can you watch Fletch till I come back?’ I asked putting my phone in my pocket. ‘Of course. He is an angel.’ Tori smiled, giggling ay my baby. I smiled at them all before walking out the door.
‘Where the hell is he?’ I mumbled to myself trying to find Ash. I looked over to the giant gazebo in the middle of the park, finding a black silhouette standing there. Curiosity got the best of me and I slowly made my way over. By now the sky was getting darker and it was definitely getting cooler. I know that it was summer in Australia but it still did get cold at night. I was getting closer now and could see the moonlight reflecting off the back of the figures head. I knew that it was Ashton, by the way that his dirty blonde curls sat on top of his head. ‘Don’t even bother sneaking up on me, Jess.’ Ashton chuckled. ‘Wait how did you know I was here.’ I giggled, now that he was facing me. ‘Jess I haven’t seen you in a year yet I remember how heavy and often you breath.’ He laughed wrapping me into a hug.
‘So what did you need to talk to me about?’ I mumbled into his warm chest. I heard him sigh before breaking off the hug. I silently whimpered at the loss of his warm contact as I looked up to find his beautiful eyes looking down at me. ‘I have rehearsed this over and over in my head and I’m still nervous to say it.’ He started not breaking eye contact with me, not even the slightest. ‘When you left I was heartbroken. I didn’t know what to do with myself. No matter what I tried I couldn’t get over you.
‘When I saw the photos of you and Fletcher, at first I was angry. More angry than I have ever been. But when Tori explained everything to me, I got what you wanted to do. I get why you did what you did, but I just want you to know one thing. I wouldn’t have left you or Fletch. I’ve only had you guys back in my life for two days now and I haven’t been this happy in nearly a year. (A.N it’s May 2015 in the story and the story started in July 2013) I just can’t believe that your back. I thought I would never see you again.’ He whispered the last part. I looked up into his gorgeous eyes and saw so many emotions running through them, ranging from joy to sadness to even love. I pulled him closer to me and wrapped my arms around his neck before crashing my lips into his. He was a little shocked at first but reacted a mere second after. Our lips molded together perfectly the same way they did over a year ago.
