‘And we’re back with Tori Carter. Ok so in an interview in Australia you announced your anti-bullying campaign. When can we expect more information about it?’ Ellen asked me.
‘Together We Will Shine is the name of the campaign and it’s going to show young adults that there not alone. That there will be someone to listen to you, if any bullying is going on in you’re life. But mainly to show kids that bullying is not ok. What’s going to happen is my newest album 70% of the money made off it is going to be used to help promote awareness. I have a few people guest starring on the album, which I’m really excited about.’ I smiled.
‘It’s hard to believe that you are only 17. Are you sure you’re not lying to us about your age?’ Ellen laughed.
‘No I’m not lying. I just hate to see people bullying each other. We all share this planet so why can’t we just get along.’ I said.
‘So the song that your going to perform for us, is that going to be on the album?’ Ellen asked me.
‘Yeah. To me this song relates to what a lot of young people go through at some point in their life. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the album.’ I smiled.
‘So are there any songs in particular that are a favorite of yours.’ Ellen asked again.
‘Well I love all the songs, and I guess if I had to pick a few I would say Bless Myself, Step Up and Never Be The Same.’
‘Ok so your going to perform Never Be The Same for us after the commercial.’ Ellen said. I smiled nodding towards the camera.
‘Tori get in position.’ Someone called me over. Ellen and I walked over to the mini stage.
‘It’s amazing what your doing. Your parents would be so proud of you.’ Ellen smiled pulling me into a hug.
‘Thank you.’ I gave her a small smile.
‘Here she is everyone. Singing her brand new single, Never Be The Same. Tori Carter.’
I took in a breath as the music started playing.
‘Let me tell you about a girl that I used to be,
