"Reza , USS Enterprise , Rizdon, USS Farragut..." I stopped listening after my name was called. I had been assigned to the Enterprise! Yes!!!! It's been my dream to serve on it since I was a child in India. I was the new medical officer assistant to the CMO.
The Enterprise was currently on its 5 year mission into the unknown. It had 2 years left on its journey.
I jumped up and down and hugged my best friend Deepanjan , who had come with me from India. He was 3 years older than me , making him 21. He was one of the science ensigns and was thankfully also assigned to the Enterprise.
"We got in! We got in!!" "Calm down , you moron." " Shut up , dumbass. Can't you let me be happy for once?" "Alright, Sanya. But just this once."
"All cadets to their respective airships."
"Come on" , I said , some of my usual calmness seeping back in, " We need to go."
This was gonna change my life. I don't know how , but it will.
