I wake up in the middle of night hearing glass break. I jot up and go into Dom room. "Dominique." I whisper trying to wake him. "What?" He mumbles. "I think it's somebody in the house."

He raises up quickly, "Go in Mon room."

I walk across the hall to Mon's room. He removes the headphones off his ears. "What's up?"

"It's somebody in the house Dom told me to come in here."

"The fuck." He gets up and peaks his head out his door. "Stay right here."

"You going down there too?"

I'm about to start freaking out. Our house has been here 36 years since our grandparents lived in it and no one has ever broke into our house. "Yeah stay right here." Mon says grabbing his gun.

"Mon." He looks back at me. "Ain't shit gone happen Asia. You gone be safe no matter what."

"What if something happens to y'all?"

"Yo big brothers stay strapped and we know what we doing. Don't worry. Stay here, lock my door if it'll make you feel comfortable. I'll knock two times and then you can open it. If something goes down, call Dre then Tyler."

He walks out of the room. I lock the door and suddenly hear shots rings out. Dre name pops up on the phone. "Hello?"

"What's going on over there?"

"I don't know. Somebody broke into the house."

"Calm down. I'm headed inside the house walking through the gate now."

"Okay."

"Asia! You can come out now." Dom says. I open the door and peek out. I see the lights are now on downstairs.

I go down and see someone's body on the floor with Mon, Dre, and Dom around it. "Who is that?"

"We don't know but we gone find out... You straight?" Dom asks. "Yeah I am now."

"You was scared Asia?" Tyler asks walking in the backdoor. "Shook as hell." Dom glares back at me. "Ima let that slide. What you scared for? You thought I was gone let some happen?"

It's a knock on the door and they all grab there weapons. Dom cracks the door open. "Crystal?" He questions.

"I'm sorry to be here this late but I- I didn't know where else to go or what else to do." Dom notions back to Mon and Dre to move whoever it is in the living room.

"What happen?" Dom says opening the door wider for her to come in. "My ex. He was upset I came to see you and.., he got carried away." I look at her face then her hand.

"She did that herself."

She glares at me. "What Asia?" Dom asks looking back at me. "She did that herself. Look at the ring indent under her eye. Matches up with the ring on her finger. Who you think you fooling?"

"Asia go back to bed, everything is good now."

"Dom."

"What did I say?" Just as if he was my daddy I went up the stairs to my room. Our father was never around. Dom and Mon knew him for a lil bit, he split when Tania got pregnant with me. She's never done anything noteworthy but stole money from Dom and Mon on top of broken promises and lies. So to me Dom was like the father I never knew.
