I woke up on my own that fateful morning. When I opened my eyes, I saw that Nicole, Giselle, Stella, Red, Blake, Den, and Calvin were already up. The three Centaurs were sharpening their spears; Giselle was brewing some potions with her cauldron in the corner of the cave; Stella was finishing a few helmets; Nicole and Calvin were loading their quivers full of arrows with magic at the ends such as poisons, stunning potion, and a few curse potion that make the enemy attack their own troops and such.
"Are you nervous?" Kyle asked from behind.
I turned around and smiled at his face, which had a worried expression on it. I nodded quickly, remembering the vial with my memory inside.
I ran over to where I slept and looked for the crack in the wall with the vial inside. It was still there, the vial resting in the position it had been in for days. I let out a sigh of relief. For some reason, I had felt like someone had taken it.
Once everyone had woken up, which was in about ten minutes, we all gathered around Isabel outside the cave. She explained that the battle would take place at Clash Mountain, which had an icy storm on the north side, a large lake on the east side, a tunnel that led to an underground fighting zone with lava below on the south side, and a dangerous forest on the west side.
"We'll teleport over there in five minutes. Is everyone ready?" she asked, speaking in telepathy.
Everyone picked up their weapons. Giselle and Stella carried the folded tent that would hold medicines and armory. Everyone else looked nervous, like they were in line to be executed.
In a way they are, I thought. Anyone could die today...
The thought scared me. What if Kyle died? Giselle or Stella? Or one of the Centaurs? Or... Hope?!
I felt tears forming in my eyes. I blinked quickly and made them go away.
"You okay?" Raven asked, speaking telepathically. She stood beside me, stretching out her dark blue wings.
I nodded, still looking down at the green grass.
Raven, using telekinesis and closing her eyes, made an object float from underneath her left wing towards me. It was a small bell.
I took it from the air and examined it. I was about to ring it when Raven shouted, "stop! If you ring it, time stops!"
I asked, as if the answer was obvious, "then why'd you give it to me?"
Raven answered, "Daniel wants you to take your memory back, and nothing can do it like stopping time. If you both ring the bell together, you won't freeze like everyone else. Then you can talk and he can explain everything."
I nodded, placing the bell in my white coat pocket. The white uniform I wore was thick and covered my body from the cold in the outdoors. Everyone wore the exact same uniform, except for Isabel, of course. And the two Mermaids wore white bikinis and floated in their water bubbles in the air, holding balls of energy between their hands.
Isabel telepathically gathered everyone around, making everyone hold hands. She stood in the center of the circle, everyone's arms linked. Raven had Red's hand in her wing, the two mermaids stuck their hands outside their water bubbles, and Char's hand, since Demon hands were hot as fire, wore magical gloves. Nicole and Calvin were on their horses. I had found out before that Calvin's horse was named Samantha, after his little sister and Nicole's horse was called Peaches.
Isabel shouted into everyone's minds, "3... 2... 1... GO!!!"
A lavender light shot out of her horn and covered everybody. We were supposed to keep our eyes either closed or barely open, and I wanted to see everything, so I squinted ever so slightly.
