{Chapter Four: Lotor}

Allura and Lance were on bad terms after the last incident. Keith was trying to get Lance to talk to his sister, he could see the pain in both of the siblings eyes. Keith was currently in the common room relaxing with Pidge and Hunk. things were oddly calmed, its been awhile sense the last attack which worried everyone. The alarms blared throughout the castle, Lance and Allura ran into the room at the same time. "Everyone suit up the galra are attacking again!!" The princess spoke. Everyone the went to go get suit up, moments later everyone came back. 

"What's going on?" Suddenly a call from the galra popped up from the screen. "Answer it Coran!!" Allura shouted to the ginger man. "Yes!!" he shouted back. He clicked a few buttons and answered it. A man with long white hair and yellow eyes was shown on the screen. "Hello Prince Lance, Princess Allura." The galra man spoke. "Prince Lotor!" Lance yelled in disbelief. There was no way that his childhood friend could be here. Zarkon sent him away because of behavior. "Hello darling." The Prince smirked. "Who is that!?" Keith growled. "Paladins of Voltron I am in no way here to harm you. I am on your side."

"Yea right! The prince, son of Zarkon on our side?" Keith spoke in a irritated tone. "Of course. I understand you wouldn't trust me. I am in a pod by myself, you must have mistaken me for a galra battle ship." Lotor smiled and looked at Lance giving him a sweet charming grin. Lance felt his heart ache. "I trust him." Lance spoke boldly. "What?!" Keith and Shiro said at the same time. "Zarkon sent him away when he was in his teen years because of his behavior issues. Lotor wanted peace. I trust him." Lance looked over at Allura for her approval.

The tanned girl nodded then spoke. "Lance is correct, but I do not fully trust him. He may stay here under a close eye." Lance smiled brightly and hugged his sister. "Yea Lotor gets to stay!!" Keith noticed Lance's change in mood. Keith didn't trust this bastard for a second. "Thank you Princess."

Moments after the agreement Lotor landed his pod and entered the castle. Lance ran over to his child hood friend and hugged him. "Lance my dear friend, its been sometime! You look as stunning as when I last saw you." Keith stood back with Allura a distasteful look on his face. "Hey Allura, can I ask you something." Allura turned to the boy and nodded her head. "Yes?" She responded. "Did Lance and Lotor have something going on between them when they were younger?" Keith questioned. Allura thought for a moment before she answered. "I think, I was never sure Lance didn't tell me anything but they did spend a lot of time alone. Why?"

"No reason." Keith said threw gritted teeth. He walked over to Land and put a hand on his shoulder. "Lance do you wanna fight?" Lance turned around and smiled at Keith. "Not now I have a guest to welcome." Keith felt his heart sink. Lance always, ALWAYS, said yes to a match with Keith. "Okay well maybe later then?" Lance waved his hand and turned back to the prince. "Yea sure." Lotor was going to destroy the relationship the boys had built.

It was not long before Keith and Lance had gotten into a fight. "You're just so quiznaking stupid Keith!" Lance shouted shoving the galra teen a bit. "He can't be trusted! He is a galra for fucks sake!" Lance clenched his fist trying his hardest to not punch Keith in the face. "So are you! I shouldn't trust you then! If you think Lotor is like the others..then- then so are you! You might as well be a galran spy! I hate you Keith!" Lance shouted walking away from Keith. 

Keith stood there, hurt, broken, angry. Keith felt tears well up in his eyes. Lance and him were just doing fine, Keith was probably going to confess his feelings soon too. But now, he wasn't sure. Everyone watched what had happened. Shiro tried to comfort Keith, he put a hand on Keith's shoulder. "Hey buddy-" Keith jerked away. "Leave me alone." Keith stormed off to his room.

"I'll go check on Lance." Allura rushed off to find her brother. Lotor stood in the back a smirk forming on his face. His plan was working. He would play with Lance's feelings like he did when they were younger and gain his trust. This was the easiest plan to take down voltron, from the inside. "I'll go get Keith." Shiro rushed off to go get the boy. Lotor looked out the window. "Perfect." He whispered.
