{Chapter Twelve: Little Spy}

"Father we can form voltron and take Zarkon down!" Lance yelled as he watched the chaos before him. "No its too late." Alfor said turning to his children. "Father please!" Allura begged tears in her eyes. Alfor walked up to Allura and put her in a deep sleep. "Lance take care of your sister for me, please?" Lance backed up and shook his head. "Please don't leave!" Alfor smiled sadly tears in his eyes. Coran stood behind Lance holding Allura. "Promise me?" Lance felt tears come to his eyes as another shot was fired at the castle. "I promise." Alfor then put lance in a deep sleep. "Goodbye my children."

Lance jolted awake tears in his eyes. His breathing was harsh as he looked around. Keith's ears perked up and he opened his eyes to see Lance panicking. "Lance?!" Keith shot up and hugged his boyfriend tightly. "Whats wrong?" Keith asked the Altean Prince. "I just- I had a nightmare." Lance buried his face in Keith's chest crying. Keith knew this nightmare all to well, it was when Lance's father died. When his home was destroyed and taken away. Keith hugged Lance tighter and rocked him back and forth. "Its okay, I'm here."

Mean while Jess stood outside the door listening to the two. She didn't like Lance, and she knew Lance didn't like her. She knew he would figure her out soon. She needed everyone to believe that she knew noting about how the attack on the base happened. Jess walked away from the door and back to her room Allura had given her. She pulled out a device that looked like a phone and pressed a few buttons.

"Hello?" Jess said into the phone.

"Darling!" The other voice said.

"Lotor your alive!" Jess smiled as she sat on her bed.

"Of course your stupid brother couldn't kill me! Anyway do they trust you?" Jess laughed and then spoke. "Everyone except the Prince but besides that, and how is hagger treating my mother?" A small smirk appeared on her face as she thought of the women. "Just as she would treat any other guest we would have." Lotor responded to the girl. "Well I have to go now, before one of them find me." Lotor sighed. "Alright doll stay safe, and do not fail the mission. Bring me the Prince."

"Yes sir!"

Lance was really good at reading people most of the time, so when he first meant Jess she seemed to friendly, yon can't trust everyone like that. Lance learned that lesson. Currently everyone was eating breakfast together. Lance and Keith sat next to each other and Jess sat on the other side of Lance. Keith didn't trust this girl either. "Well it sounds like you have had some exciting adventures!" Allura smiled as Jess finished her story. "Yes I have!" Jess looked at Lance who had his head leaning on Keith's shoulder. "Lance are you okay?" Allura asked as she noticed her brothers mood was different today.  

"Yea I am just tired." He yawned and snuggled into Keith's neck. "Well then, Keith you and Lance can take today off!" Allura smiled at Lance and then gave Keith a look of concern, Keith nodded understanding. She already knew that Lance had nightmares even before the war he always had them. Allura was more closer to her father and Lance was close to his their mother. So whenever their mother was away Lance would have really bad nightmares.

Keith and Lance got up from the table. "Thank you Allura!" Lance smiled and started to walk away. Jess eyed them and then smiled once more. "Have any of you seen Kolivan today?" Jess stood up ready to go follow Lance and Keith. They all shook their heads. "Okie!" Jess followed the direction of Lance and Keith. Shiro raised a brow but then excused the thought he had. She was strange girl.

Keith walked into Lance's room and helped him back into bed. "Keif." Lance snuggled into his blankets. "Yes?" Keith responded sitting next to him. "I don't trust Jessica." Lance felt his eyes lids become heavy. "Me too." Keith kissed Lance on his forehead and told him he would be right back and walked out. He turned around to be face to face with Jessica. "Hi Keithy!" Jess smiled as she looked at her brother. "What do you want?" He said rolling his eyes. "You are so mean! Anyway are you always with the prince?" Jess had a bored look on her face as asked him. "Yes, he is my boyfriend, why?"

"Because you should spend sometime with me, your sister!" Jess had her hands on her hips glaring at Keith. "I don't trust you, I feel like you have something to do with mom and her kidnapping." Keith growled his ears twitch a bit. "I don't have shit to do with that Kogane, now you better go spend time with the little baby." Jess laughed and walked away. "Be nice to me or else I'll kick your ass." And with that she walked away leaving Keith to wonder what she meant.
