Chapter 38 - Attack

Draco watched as Stephan taught Aliah how to control multiple elements at once. He smiled at Aliah's excitement when she learnt something new but growled when Stephan would momentarily touch her.

"Look Draco! Fire and Water!" Aliah cheered. In one hand she twirled balls of fire and water.

"We done Sweetie," Draco said. He looked down at his small fiancé. He loved how she would get excited over small things and he couldn't wait to run away with her. They decided to stay a few more days so Aliah could learn to control her abilities since now that she remembers everything, they wouldn't want her powers to take control.

"Try and summon a ball of air," Stephan interrupted. Draco narrowed his eyes at Stephan. They were roughly the same height with Draco a little bit taller but Stephan was more masculine and had a stronger build than Draco. Aliah bounced her way back over to Stephan who held her hand to help channel her power.

"Hey Draco go get some wood for the fire will you?" Stephan cocked his head

"Don't-"

"Draco please? I'll come find you when I'm done," Aliah begged. She stared at him. Her eyes saying 'I'll be alright, he won't try anything.' Draco mumbled an insult at Stephan and walked away to collect firewood.

When he was clear Stephan turned to Aliah and helped her summon a ball of air. In no time at all Aliah juggled balls of fire, water and air. Aliah squealed with delight. Stephan saw this as an opportunity and leant down to kiss her. When his lips brushed hers, Aliah shoved him away.

"What are you doing?" she demanded

"Kissing you," Stephan stepped closer, Aliah felt her heart race. They were chest to chest

"So?"

"So we are alone. It's a shame that your fiancé had to come," Stephan leant down to kiss her but was rewarded with a punch to the cheek.

"I thought we talked about this. I don't like you that-"

"Don't lie to yourself," Stephan held his burning cheek, "you like me. You're telling me that your heart doesn't race every time I hold your hand? When I step close to you?"

"I love Draco. Did I have some feelings for you? Yes but my love for Draco out ways you and it always will,"

"So push comes to shove, you'll pick him?" Stephan asked. He knew the answer, he just didn't want to hear it

"Always and Forever,"

Stephan felt his heart break into pieces.

Draco rested against the head board while Aliah slept on his chest.

"You care for her don't you?" Stephan said from the couch

"I'm not getting into this argument with you again. I love her and I have done everything I can to keep her safe,"

"She has a good punch," Stephan mumbled but Draco heard

"What did you do to make her punch you?" Draco chuckled and pressed his lips to her forehead. Aliah stirred a bit but cuddled closer to him

"It doesn't matter but you should know, she will always choose you,"

"always and forever," Aliah breathed. Draco looked down, she was still asleep

"See? She unconsciously heard us talk about you," Stephan grumbled. Draco smiled and tightened her arm around her shoulders. Draco opened his mouth to speak but Stephan abruptly stood up and lifted his hand to tell Draco to stop talking. Stephan looked at the door.

"Wake her up," Stephan ran to his draw and pulled out his wand

"What?" Draco sat up

"I said wake her up," Stephan snapped. Draco shook Aliah

"It's not morning," Aliah groaned

"Aliah wake up now," Aliah heard the urgency in Draco's voice. She opened her eyes and sat up

"What is-" before she could finish her sentence the door blast open. Aliah screamed.

"Hello!" Bellatrix screeched as she walked through the door. "There you are. You've been trouble missy but never mind that," Bellatrix grabbed Aliah's hair and pulled her off the bed. Draco nor Stephan could move from their place, it was as if they were frozen and invisible to Bellatrix's eyes as was their voices.

Draco watched as Bellatrix disapparated with Aliah.
