I left my last period a little early and ran home. I changed into a pair of leggings, a tank top, and a bralette before I got back to the school right as the bell rang. I went to the dance studio where I saw Lyla waiting. "I'm joining you today .Ms. sandy gave me the okay." she said.
"Awesome, I think you're really going to like the dance. It's pretty fun."
"And Lucas is filming. You can't hide shit from me," she said. My mouth dropped. "I know you two were dancing during lunch."
"Oh my god, Lyla you make it sound like we're having an affair."
"Wait are you?" She smiled and I rolled my eyes. "You should have told me. You're lucky I had to run home anyway for lunch to finish and print of my English paper."
"He's not dating anyone and I was going to. Talking about my brother threw me off-topic. Speaking of him...he bought tickets for the live shows."
"Yeah, we bought them together. The family pack. One for him, One for me, and two for your parents. We bought it together hoping that maybe we could drag them."
"You've been working with my brother on this?" I asked.
"I want you to have a relationship with him again. Come on we gotta go in." We walked in and Lucas came up to us. After talking to him and dancing with him during lunch things we're more comfortable. We waited till all of the dance teams members were there and Lucas friend James who's helping with filming. Once Ms.Sandy got there Lucas and I stood together at the front of the studio. James walking around the back taking shots of us talking and teaching them the dance.
When we were confident they knew it we got some groups together. I got Lyla and a girl named Rosie Jackson or RJ and we went up first.
I let everything go as we danced. It was fun and amazing to just let loose. When we finished Lucas went with the boys that he picked to dance with. The rest of the afternoon was crazy. They where getting ever move. Mia while clearly not pleased that I was there still had fun with the dance, at least I think. Lucas and James filmed a lot. When we got even to go Ms. Sandy released them and they all went for their bags. Ms. Sandy walked up to Lucas and me.
"That was amazing guys thank you so much. I think you boosted their confidence a lot."
"Anything, Ms. Sandy just let me know." I told her with a smile."Besides I do owe you after all the times you let me practice in here."
"Please, I love seeing you dance. I'm just happy you're finally sharing it. Good luck Friday." She grabbed her bag and walked out. Friday was partner picking day. We draw from a hat choosing our partner for the rest of the competition.
"Thank you Ms. Sandy."
I went and grabbed my things as Lucas did. "Skylar?" He asked. I stood up straight taking a drink of my water. "Are you free tomorrow during lunch." I nearly choked on my water but I hid it."Maybe you can help me edit the video or something."
"I don't see why not. Lyla actually talked me into getting a channel too." He started walking next to me on the way out.
"Then I'm happy to show you the ropes. Editing is a little tough at first but it's easier to more video's you make." We walked out of the school and onto the sidewalk."So I'll meet you for lunch?" he said.
"Yep. Meet you there." He smiled and walked away. I couldn't help but smile when I saw him turn back and look at me. He smiled again and got to his car. I walked over to my car and threw my stuff onto the passenger seat.
My heart raced. Lucas starting to get closer to me?Weird right? It has to be.

"So you just cut out sections you don't like or don't think fit."He told me as he cut a section off of a clip making it fade right into the next clip of a new group of dancers." then get the music to match up with what happening in the studio so you don't hear an echo. Some people actually turn off the original sound once they have the music lined up but I like to keep it in so my audience can her things in the background."
"This is really cool."I said. He looked over at me." how did you get into YouTube?" I asked
"A friend said I should. I thought about it for a while. I wanted to share my dancing, my experiences. Plus a little click bait never hurt someone." I let out a small laugh.
"No just waisted five minutes of my time." I said.
"We should do a collab. After you get your first video up. I'll film a video with you then you film one with me."
"Doing what?" I asked.
"Some cool challenges. People love that stuff."
"Sounds good to me." He put his hand out and I shook it.
"Lucas!" We turned seeing Austin, Lucas friend. "Hey, Sky, what's up?"
"Not much." I also know him. More of like someone who I talk to if I sit next to them in class kind of know him.
"Dude you hit three million."
"What?"I watched as Lucas went to his YouTube channel.
"You went up almost two million subscribers in a week. That's awesome." Austin took a seat next to Lucas." Looks like you'll be going to VidCon this year. And playlist and so many other things."
"Social Media is crazy." I said.
"Things sometimes move at a rapid fire you get used to it after a while." Austin said."You're going to join the party right?"
"Seems like it." I said.
"Welcome, it will be a blast."
