The music for the duo before us played loudly and the crowd watched the jazz routine with happy faces. Mia and Brian stepped off the stage, Mia clearly not pleased. "This is ridiculous I'm going to go down all because of you." Brian raised an eyebrow and looked to Lucas and me.

"You know after today, we choreograph our own routines right. Maybe you should be more focused on yourself from here on out." I said handing the necklace to Lucas.

"I'm sure we can give you some pointers."Lucas smiled.

"What happened to you?" Mia stepped closer to me. I got about an inch away from her face.

"I stopped being people's bitch. Maybe you should try it, daddy's girl." I started making my way to the side stage hearing Lucas chuckle as he came up next to me. He put his hand palm up so I slapped the low five. "I've been waiting years." I said a smile on my lips.

"Next is a crowd favourite, Lucas and Skylar!" The videos of our practice popped up on the screen while Lucas and I took our place. I stood in my place taking a deep breath. No matter how many times I walk on this stage my heart races. No matter how many times I stand in front of this crowed I fear of messing up. But a quick glance at Lucas, who looked at me, told me "We got this.". Most of my nerves and worry washed away.

Our video ended meaning the music started. I told that second in between remembering my character. Her urges, and wants. The moves flowed on their own pretty much. Dancing with Lucas was more than just fun or a routine. Dancing with him seemed like more. It felt like more. Like we could do more.

I wanted to smile at the end of the dance but I knew I couldn't. The crowd went crazy when we kissed but once the lights were off we stopped and he put his nose to mine."It's date night tonight." He said. I let my smile go and watched as he stood.

"Roger That-" he pulled me up from the floor allowing us to walk over to Principal Clayton. He brought the microphone to his mouth.

"What a dance, Julia Mocha, our Contemporary teacher, you did amazing." Julia smiles in the crowd. Clayton turned back to me and Lucas. "Let's hear from our judges."

"I don't think I've seen a dance like that from teenagers handled so beautifully. Every emotion was shone and the transitions were flawless." Kepers said. The crowed clapped as it moved to Neil.

"Yes as she said you handled the intimate moments and the painful moments with a maturity I haven't seen in a lot of dancers with the amount of training that you guys have. It's a rear and special thing."

Oliver smiled as he looked between Lucas and I. "I loved that even in the moment, your dress ripped, you continued, you kept with the rhythm and didn't break. When I look at you two dance I don't see some practiced routine or a dance that was good and I'll forget in a week. Every time I see you two dance I see the story, the joy, the pain. I see the passion you have not just the art. It's almost like magic. I want to just put you in the school right now." The crowd went wild as he smiled at us. "4 more weeks."

"You heard it here coming right back from break we're going to see who won't be with us next week along with a group dance."Lucas and I ran off stage while waving to the crowed. Once away from the public view I jumped omg Lucas arms wrapping my legs around his waist he led me up.

"You hear that?" He asked me.

"He'd put us in school right now?"

"No, that we're like magic."he said. He pressed his soft lips to mine and after a second started trailing them away down my jawline.

"Down boy."I said pulling away even though my body didn't want anything more than to jump his bones."Not here."

"We'll maybe we'll stop for dinner. Go to my place, my parents are on business trip." Lucas said.

"Oh, Mr. Romantic. Throw in a few episodes of Bones I'll take you up on that offer."

"Okay." He let me down and we walked to the make up table I did quick touch up and wiped the makeup from Lucas face. We continued on to where everyone was gathering. They had everyone set up everyone in order with their  partners. All waiting patiently before one of the crew sent them out. Lucas and I were in the second row. 7 groups of 2. 14 teens stood waiting to see who will be going home. In a couple minutes only 12 teens will stand.

"All of our amazing judges votes have been tallied and put together now only to see who's going home. But first,...let's see who's safe." Lights shined on all the dancers. Lucas held my hand as he stood looking at the judges. They called names in pairs and when they called out the crowd was a little louder. It was left to two couples Mia, who might be a crap person but a good dancer and a girl named Angel. She was sweet as well had been helping me with my Spanish homework whenever we were backstage. Her parents where from Cuba and made sure their kids could speak the language. She was as good of not a little better than Mia. And definitely a better person.

"We forgot to mention-" I looked to Lucas the. Back to the principal."We're sending 2 people home, but, not from one group." My jaw dropped."Mia." Mia smiled ready to walk over to the rest of us sat but was quickly shut down. "You're going home, as well as Oscar." Brian looked to Angel with a smile. "Angel and Brian are our new duet partners!"

The crowed went wild as the walked over to the couches next to Lucas and me.they played a best moments reel for both of them. Mia turned back to me shooting daggers. I smiled and mouthed "Karmas a bitch." She clearly understood turning back around and continued watching the reel.
"Thankyou so much for participants in the competition and we wish you both the best of luck." Mia and Oscar walked off stage while the rest of us gathered on the stage for the group dance. Lucas kissed my cheek as he walked passed me and got to his spot.

"One, two, three-" Lucas picked me up and threw me on his bed."Hey!"

"Two minutes. Just don't move, for two minutes." He said. I sat up with a smile as he looked down at me.

"Why?" He sat down on his rolling chair and pulled something from his pocket. He he'd it up letting me see the necklace a small nickel sized silver plate. Engraved in beautiful cursive writing was My Better Half.

"We've been partners for a while now, and together for a bit.." he looked at me very serious. "When I'm with you...you make my world that much better. Every minute I have you with me is a minute I know I won't be unhappy or lost."

"You know...it's not my birthday right?" I asked.

"I know...I got because,...I love you." The smile on my face only grew.

"I love you too."
