"You fucking bastards!" I ran into my parent's house. I checked the open window to see Lucas with his camera. He was getting it all. Lyla walked in behind me. "Lying like that knowing I'm in the public eye. So what? So you can control me again?"

"I didn't lie."My mother defended her self. I could feel my blood boiling. I was ready to start throwing fists.

"Really? The older she got the more rebellious she became. She has fought relentlessly to get what she wanted."I recited from her post.

"My parents are ready to go on record to defend her. Taking her in since you clearly only give a shit about one kid."

"Those managers came by, I told you, you'd have nothing to do with my career. You pulled me out of dance. Chose all of my classes, made tutors come over. After paying no attention to me suddenly you want me to be just like you. I didn't get your signature for the competition because you won't have done it!"

"She's going to win this thing, she's going to live and be at that school. You have the nerve to lie to keep her in your grips and control her. No way." Lyla stepped forward but I grabbed her. If I couldn't throw my fists she could definitely throw hers.

"You're our daughter." My father stepped in front of my mom."We know what's best for you. We are better at making these decisions than you."

"OH shut up!" Chase walked into the room."I'm done!"

"Chase?" I said in more surprise than I meant to. He stepped in front of me.

"I'm done with the lies and the control. You control me, you control her. We're done! I'll will be right by Lyla and herb parents when they get custody of her. That's right they're going to get custody of Sky because of how you e treated her. They told me this morning. You will no longer have any say our lives. So either tell the truth or the world will know real quick the truth."

"Don't worry, Chase they will." I crossed my arms. "I think we have what we need Lucas!" I heard some rustling in the trees then the door open.

"I can have this up in a hour." Lucas said as he got by my side. "The whole world will know the truth."

"Why are you doing this honey?" My dad asked.

"Because you still don't see it." I stepped up to them. "You just lost both of your kids. Have a nice life." I walked out Chase by our sides.

I gave him my thanks and a promise to meet up later in the week. He went back inside to grab his things and leave for a friends house.

I chose to go to Lucas house and just calmed down. I told Lyla I'd be home later. But as we walked up the steps I froze.

"Are you okay?"Lucas asked as he turned back to me.

"If Lylas parents can become my guardians...I'm free. I'll be able to do whatever I want."

"How does it feel." He asked. I just smiled then jumped in his arms.

"One, two, three, four." I breathed out Lucas counting with me. He put his hands in mine."You ready. We win this and then is you, me, and stage one."

"I'm more than ready." The video of us training throughout the week. All the new tricks we've learned have paid off and now it's time to just be happy I'm finally getting everything.

"Let's kick some ass." He said. We took our spots and waited for the music to play. When did I evidently felt the character. The character that was actually me. I've been fighting and clawing my way to happiness. Do what I want to do not what others what me to do. Lucas being here to help and be on my side. My best friend pushing me to do all of this.  I wouldn't have gotten any of it with out her signing me up that day or even pushing me to go to the class that Lucas had been hosting. I got everything I've been fighting for. Even if that means I lost my parents in the process.

The music finished and we stood together the crowd screaming and the judges standing clapping. A standing ovation. My heart racing I felt as the tears filled my eyes. I don't know how, but Lucas grabbed me, holding me close to him and letting me feel the heat from his body as well as taking in his sent helped me calm down.

"We did it." Lucas said in my ear.

The crowd had settled down and then we stepped forward to hear the judges. And it was nothing but good words and the highest score recorded. We left for the side getting congratulated by our piers.

"Meet me after this, I wanna show you something." Lucas said as we started to leave the stage when filming was done.  I got all the stage makeup off and changed into a tank top and sweats. I slipped on my vans and met Lucas outside my duffle bag hanging off my shoulder. "Ready?" He asked as he leaned against his car.

"Yes, where are you taking me?"

"No questions. Just get in the car."

He gave me a smirk as I released my crossed arms. "Fine." I got into the car and sat passenger seat. I was able to open the window and the the warm night air breeze through my hair. It was a night to celebrate. We were the only duo to get a standing ovation. All the extra work. The extra training and learning knew skills finally paid off.

We drove through a path up a hill until we reached a clearing. Bars kept the edge blocked off. When I stepped out I could see the city. The lights shining and above stars. So many stars."the world was perfect. Everything that happened until now didn't matter. This is the only thing that mattered.

"Congratulations Sky." I turned to see him holding two glasses and a bottle of champagne. I could help but raise my eyebrows at him."I might have gotten my buddy with a fake ID to get it for me."

"Well in that case." I grabbed a glass allowing him to put his down on the hood of the car and open the bottle. Skillfully might I add. He poured equal amounts and then held his glass out.

"I suck at speeches. But around you...nothing matters. But I do know that...not matter what Sky, you changed my life. I don't think I would have made it through this competition with anyone else but you. You're special. Really special..and I love you."

"I love you too." I moved so I standing in front of him and between his legs. We clinked our glasses and took sips of the bubbly  drink. It made my mouth tingle as I looked into the eyes of the boy I thought would never take a second to even look at me.

"I'm glad Lyla signed me up that day even if I didn't want to at first."

"I wish I came into the studio the first time I saw you. Maybe we could have been this sooner."

"No regrets. It was supposed to all happen like this." I kissed his cheek but close enough to his lips to tease him. He pulled me back closer to him this time our lips actually meeting.
