Evelyn's Point of View
"Now Evelyn we have visitors coming." My mother says. "Who is it." I ask. "It's me and your fathers friends, and their son." "Oh ok, how old is he." I ask.
"He's a lot older than you." My mother says so while waiting for them to get here I went upstairs to get ready I put on a red tank top and put my American flag jacket on. "Evelyn! I need your help, please come here!" My mother calls from downstairs.
"Coming mommy!" I replied, as I run down the stairs. "Here take these and set up the table." She says handing me some silverware. I walk into the dining room and set up the table. When I finished I was just about to walk into the kitchen and the doorbell rang.
I walk over to it, and opened it and there he stood I look up at him and his chocolate eyes seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. And immediately I don't know what it was but I knew we would be friends.
I was extremely shy so all that came at my mouth was "Hi." Then my mother came to the door and said "Hey you guys come in come in." As they walk in I continued to look at him. When our eyes met, I smiled at him. I didn't expect him to smile back, but he did. He smiled a sweet smile at me.
I felt my cheeks heat up so I ran up the stairs and watched him through the railing of the stairs. He was very nice already. He was talking to my dad when my mother came and found me. "Come on its almost time to eat." I thought to myself.
"This is the first time we've had visitors in a long time.I really wanted to talk to him but I was so shy, that I couldn't just talk to him. I mean that's weird, but I want to be his friend.
