Your POV
The halls are more crowded as I'm walking to my next class. The nurse had told me to go to my next class as she'll check his vitals one last time before sending him off as well. Blaze argued to let me stay, but he eventually gave up when he saw how stubborn she was.
I smile to myself, remembering the cute pout he gave me before I left."I wish you could stay, (Y/n)..." he turns to the nurse with pleading eyes. "Please? Can't she st-"
"No. She needs to get to class, and so do you. Just let me do one last check-up!" Blaze pouts, but smiles at me and gives me a hug.
"See ya later, (Y/n)," he reluctantly lets go of me, and goes back to the bed.
I'm interrupted from my thoughts as I bump into something and fall to the ground, my belongings scattering all around the crowded hall.
"Watch where you're going, human," I look up to see another werewolf standing above me, arms crossed.
"S-Sorry!" I tremble a bit as I stand, but he forcefully grabs my arm, forcing it into a painful position. I wince, but bite my tongue to avoid crying out. "Let go, you dumb mutt!" I shout.
Onlooking students gasp and some cheer me on, but I don't understand why some are gaping at me, their eyes wide in fear.
He chuckles, his grey eyes cold and harsh, and pushes my arm closer to my shoulder blades, making me cry out in pain. "You shouldn't keep running your mouth, human. I'm much superior to your filthy self, so it'd be wise to remember who you're talking back to,"
"And who are you? I've only been here a day, and no one has mentioned you to me. Some 'all-important-werewolf' you are," I retort, trying to twist free from his iron grip.
He growls and lets go, but to my dismay, throws me against the lockers. He grabs my collar and lifts me up so my feet are no longer touching the ground.
"I could beat you to a pulp right now, you filthy h-"
"What do you have against humans?" I cut him off, earning a glare from his hostile orbs.
"You're filthy beings who should know when to hold their tongues." he raises his hand in the air, ready to strike. I close my eyes shut, ready for the impact.
"Ein, stop!" he let go, dropping me to the ground. I land on my leg funny, and I wince when I put weight on it.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Blaze." My head shoots up to see Blaze pushing his way through the crowd.
"Leave her alone." His eyes narrows as Ein steps behind me, grabbing my shoulders.
"Why are you defending such scum, Blaze? What happened to you?" Ein squeezes my shoulders. "Why her?"
Shock is on my face as Blaze marches up to Ein, his hands clenched into fists. "Never talk about (Y/n) that way." Fear crawls into my throat as Ein laughs.
"Then what are you going to do about it?"
Blaze drew his arm back, eyes focused and lips curled into a snarl. "I'll make you-"
"Stop!" We all turn to see Aphmau pushing everyone aside. She pulls Blaze down to her level. "You can't fight him, not when he's Alpha," she says.
He scoffs, but stands down. "You weak little-" Ein starts, but Aphmau shoots him a glare.
"That's enough, Ein," she scowls.
"Tch, whatever," he stuffs his hands into his pockets. "You weren't worth my time, anyways." He stalks off, shoving students out of his way.
"Thanks, Aph," I manage to stay, shakily standing up.
"No problem, but, Blaze..." she gives him a look and he looks down.
"I know... I can't fight Ein without challenging him..." she nods, waves, then walks off. The crowd soon disperses, some relieved and some annoyed, but it was eventually only me and Blaze.
"You didn't have to do that," I said, breaking the silence.
"But I owed you for bringing me to the nurse's," he offers. I laugh, and try to walk towards him, but my leg gives out and I fall back onto the ground.
"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" I nod and try to get up, but fail and settle on sitting on the ground.
"Want me to carry you?" he asks, arms extended.
"Yes, please," I reach up and wrap my arms around his neck. He slips his arm underneath my legs and picks me up, using his other arm to support my back.
We continue down the hall until we stop at his locker. He lets go and I slowly lower myself onto the ground, crossing my legs.
"Why are we here?"
He smiles. "To fix your ankle." He forcefully opens his locker and proceeds to pull out bandages. "May I?" I take off my shoe and sock. It hurts slightly when I touch it, but Blaze quickly wraps it up tightly.
"Thank you," I say quickly.
He helps me to my feet and smiles. "Let's go! We don't want to be late!"
He grabs my hand and starts to run down the hall. "Blaze, wait! My stuff! We didn't-"
He lifts his arm to show my binder and pencil case. "I picked everything up. Don't worry, I have everything." he scrunches his face up for a second. "Ever think of getting a bag?"
I laugh. "I probably should,"
"If you can't get one, you can have mine. I don't need it."
"Blaze-"
"Don't argue. You're having it," he chuckles, and I can't help but laugh again.
'Thank you, Blaze...'
