Your POV
"Remember, your exam is this week," Mr. Laville says while handing out a review sheet.
"Monsieur, my mom made me copy all of my notes onto my computer to study." I turn around to see Bodie complaining.
"Haha, sucker," Mr. Laville says as he walks past Bodie.
"I'm gonna die!" The girl in front of me groans.
Again, Mr. Laville walks past her. "The sad truth is that we all die in the end, but you won't die because of this."
I bang my head on the desk to stop myself from laughing aloud. The bell rings, signalling the end of the day.
I quickly pack my stuff up and shoulder my bag. Katelyn's immediately by my side. "That was a long class," she says.
"Very interesting, though," I say and laugh. She joins in.
Katelyn starts pulling me towards the door. "Come on, I don't want to be here longer than I have to."
...Time Skip...
"How was your day?" Blaze asks as we walk back to his house.
"Long, but Mr. Laville was very interesting today."
He laughs. "Again? Honestly, that teacher..." Blaze's voice trails off.
The rest of the walk was silent. Though, it wasn't uncomfortable or awkward. We quickly arrived at his house.
Blaze fumbles a bit with his keys before opening the door. "Mom?" he calls. Blaze quickly frowns. "She should be home..." Blaze kicks his shoes off.
He turns to me. "Go get yourself something to eat, or something to do, I'll be right back." Blaze turns on his heel and runs upstairs.
'That was a little weird...' I shrug it off and walk to the kitchen. I open the fridge.
It was stocked with beer. I carefully move them aside and grab an orange. I sit down at the table and start peeling off the skin.
I hear the door slam shut. "Hello?" I call. No answer.
I leave the orange on the table and slowly walk into the hall.
Konoka is leaning against the door, breathing heavily. "Konoka? Are you alright?" I start walking towards her.
I hear footsteps. Fast footsteps. Blaze is suddenly in front of her, blocking my path. "(Y/n)!" Blaze says. "Come upstairs."
I look at Konoka one more time before running up the stairs with Blaze.
I follow Blaze into his room. "I started a bath for you, I thought it'd be nice to de-stress," he starts. "My room has the biggest tub, so..." he opens the bathroom door.
A tub is filled with bubbles. I feel a smile growing on my lips. "Thanks, Blaze," I say and give him a kiss on the cheek.
He smiles sheepishly and closes the door before mumbling a soft, 'You're welcome.'
I lock the door and slip my clothes off. I quickly cross the room and slide into the tub. The warm water relaxes my body as I fall into some sort of a bliss.
The bubbles smell slightly of orange. I smile. I lean my head back and close my eyes. 'So relaxing...'
Blaze's POV
I dodge as she throws another bottle. "Stop moving!" She screams as she chucks, yet again, another bottle at me.
Maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe it was (Y/n)'s presence, but I feel calmer this time. I make my way across the kitchen towards her. I gently grab her wrists, restricting her.
"You had too much to drink," I say softly. Her eyes seem to relax. "Come to the couch and lie down, you'll feel much better if you rest for a bit."
I start pulling her towards the couch. Her head seems to droop a bit.
"Mom? Are you okay?"
She looks up.
Tears are streaming down her face. "You let me hurt you, break you, destroy you, but you're still here, my wonderful son..." she whispers, barely audible.
I smile softly and kiss her on the forehead. "Come here," I say and pull her into a hug. She relaxes.
"I'll always love you, mom."
She nods. Her arms seem to loosen and she falls limp in my arms. Now that I'm close to her, I don't smell any alcohol on her.
"Maybe you're just tired today..." I say and lie her down on the couch. She immediately wraps her arms around a pillow.
'Feel better...'
Your POV
I sigh and wrap a towel around myself, draining the tub. "That felt so nice..." I murmur to myself and dry off. I quickly walk out of Blaze's room and cross over into mine.
I take a top and leggings, quickly slipping them on. I wrap my hair into the towel, balancing it on my head. A small crash makes me jump.
"Blaze?" I call out. "Is everything okay?"
No answer.
I run down the stairs and into the kitchen. Glass litters the ground. I bend down and start picking it up.
I breathe in deeply when a piece cuts into my hand. "You're so dumb, (Y/n)..." I mutter bitterly as I move myself to the sink. I rinse out the wound and wrap it in a bandage from a drawer.
I give the glass one more bitter look before going to the living room. Blaze is sitting on the couch beside Konoka, who was fast asleep.
"Hey, is everything okay? I heard a crash," I ask.
Blaze stands up and crosses the room. He gently rubs my shoulder. "Don't worry," Blaze smiles. "Everything's okay now."

Hello! I'm so sorry that it's been almost a month since I last updated... Exams really had me busy, and then my family decided to go on vacation for a bit.
I do my best to juggle school, writing, and my personal life as best as I can, but sometimes... I end up dropping a few things for a little while.
I promise that I'll get back to writing as soon as I adjust to my new semester.
See you soon!
Myū, out!
