18th August

I jolt awake. I'm back in my bed.

Slowly, I raise my head and lean against the headrest. I turn to see an IV-drip type device full of grey fluid coming down and connecting to my soul. A few cracks are scattered across it.

I faintly smell butterscotch pie, and look down to see a mildly warm plate of it. I pick it up, and, not realising how hungry I was, eat the whole thing in one mouthful.

HP fully restored!

Tyler 15/15 HP

*It hurts to move too much...
*But I stay determined.

I sigh, thinking about how more comforting it would be if Luke were by my side. Maybe they would be telling me a story of their past, or giving me an inspirational pep talk...

Instead I am just here, sitting in silence.

The door creaks open and Guidea pokes her head through.

Or maybe not.

"Oh my goodness! Tyler! You're awake!" She gasps, running up to me and enveloping me in a hug. I wince in pain.

"Ow...Guidea, I can't breathe..." I gasp. She lets go and pats my head.

"...How long was I out for?" I ask.

"Oh, only about a few hours."

"A few hours?!" I spring up from the bed, making Guidea give a panicked expression.

"Did the machine work?" I demand.

Guidea gives me a confused look, and takes a step back.

"I'm sorry Tyler, but I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about. Impact came running here with you unconscious in his arms and said something about you being attacked?"

I raise an eyebrow. Is that really what happened?

"Guidea, was there anybody else with him?" I insist.

She stops to think for a second, and then replies "Why yes, I think there was. He looked awfully similar to Impact. I wonder if they're related?..I swear I've seen him somewhere before too..."

"Did you get his name?" I ask, now calmed down a little.

Guidea shakes her head. "No. He ran off before he could tell me."

I stand up steadily and disattach the IV from my soul, tapping the bag.

"What is this stuff anyway?" I turn around and ask Guidea.

"It's pure magic. We couldn't find any determination to heal you, so the magic was the closest thing we could find." She explains.

I blink, and then look at my soul again. The cracks are now almost healed...

That wasn't there before.

An upside down grey heart is now inside my red heart. Guidea gasps as I smile.

"Guidea, do you know what this means?" I grin.

She hums.

"I'm a wizard."
