3rd September
You awake with a scream.
[Tyler's POV]
"TYLER!" I hear someone yell from downstairs. I try to steady my breathing. A few seconds later, Guidea bursts into my room, panic stricken.
"Tyler! You're okay! That's a relief..." She sighs, quickly comforts me with a hug.
"I heard a scream...Is everything alri-"
"I'M FINE. It was just a nightmare." I cut her off, hanging my head down in slight shame."Tyler...you know you can always tell me when anything's wrong. I'm your sister!" She smiles calmly. I stop for a moment.
Your sister...?
...Who...was she?
...I remember having one, but..."Tyler...I've been meaning to ask you something for a while now..." Guidea suddenly starts, with a newfound sadness in her voice.
"What is it?" I ask, raising myself back up from under the clutches of my bed.
She sighs.
"Flowey is Asriel, isn't he?"
I look at her in surprise.
"Don't try to hide it from me. I can feel it. Sometimes, Flowey reminds me so much of my brother that I nearly think I'm talking to..." Guidea mumbles, cutting herself off to compose herself.
I sigh, and nod.
"Yes...Flowey is your...our brother."Guidea sits herself on my bed to think this new information over.
"Tyler, if you don't mind me asking...how did you break the barrier?"
I stare at her sadly. My expression tells her everything.
"..Oh. I...see."
We sit in silence for a few minutes, only being interrupted by a small growl.
"Hehe... I was so excited that I forgot to eat..." I giggle half-heartedly.
Another stomach growl is heard, but not from me.
"I woke up to you screaming! I haven't even had breakfast yet!" Guidea laughs back.
Both our stomachs growl at the same time.
"But now I'm even hungrier!" I laugh.
"Uh...thanks for listening to me, Guid. I didn't get to say what I wanted to say, but I'm glad you know now."She gives me one last hug before heading downstairs to make breakfast. I smile, and get dressed.
The wardrobe is filled with an assortment of striped hoodies, shirts, and... My 'ambassador' shirt. I slowly pick out...the pink one with the purple stripe.
...Luke's hoodie.
Their note is still inside the pocket, too...
I sigh, and put it on over a plain white shirt. It's strange how we looked so much alike, yet we were both so different...
I fasten my locket around my neck, and head downstairs, catching a part of a conversation.
"...glad Tyler told you. I'm sorry." I hear Flowey apologise. He must have fell asleep on the table, where Guidea probably left him. Out of the corner of her eye, Guidea spots me, and pauses in slight shock.
"...Luke...?
I smile, and shake my head. An easy mistake to make, even for my sister. After all, she's known Luke longer than she's known me, I'm for certain.
"Sorry Tyler...you just remind me of....someone I used to know..." She trails off, before coughing to get herself back on track.
"I thought I might make your favourite to make you feel better. Do you smell it?"
I nod eagerly in response, and run up to hug her."Butterscotch-cinnamon cookies!"
She giggles in response. "Yup!"
I hear Flowey sigh, and a clink of a pot falling over on the table. He must of gone out."So Tyler... What was your nightmare about?" She tries to coax. Sitting down on the sofa next to her, I sigh.
"I think I hurt someone...and it upset them a lot..."
"Oh? Well, all you have to do is apologise. I'm sure they'll understand." Guidea comforts.
"It's more complicated than that. They won't remember it anyway." I spit.
"Is...this about one of the times you reset...?" She starts to question.
"NO." I jolt off the sofa quickly to avoid the subject.
"Hey Tyler! Wait-" She yells anxiously.
I slam the front door behind me.
"...What has gotten into them recently?"
