23rd January
I wake up smiling.
I know that it's what Luke would want for me.
Stretching my arms out and putting my reading glasses from the bedside table into their case, I gaze outside the window. The city skyline glows with the rising sun.
I wonder what Mom's doing right now?
Stifling a yawn, I get out of bed and get dressed. I can already faintly smell breakfast - eggs of some form.
"Morning Tyler!" Guidea chirps, as she walks out of the kitchen, balancing two plates of eggs in her arms. I stifle a giggle.
"G'morning sis." I smile, sitting down at the dinner table.
"Oh! Tyler, by the way. Impact came by earlier. He's offered to take you out to lunch! Isn't that nice?" She explains happily, before muttering something under her breath.
"Huh? What was that?"
She blushes slightly, then shakes her head. "It's okay. You're so lucky to have lots of friends, that's all!" She smiles, recovering slightly.
"Oh, uh, thanks I guess? I'll head over to his house now, okay?" I chirp curiously, excusing myself from the dinner table and walking backwards towards the door.
"Why am I cursed, world?" I hear her mutter, before I lock the door behind me. I shrug slightly, then take a step backwards in surprise as a familar golden flower pops out of the ground.
"Flowey! I was wondering where you went!" I chirp, crouching down to speak with him.
"Oh. Hey Tyler. And I was with Da-Asgore for the week, remember?" He groans slightly, before a give a quiet 'Oh' as I remembered.
"I'm headed to Impact and Castellar's place. Wanna come with?" I offer, reaching out a hand for him to latch onto. He rolls his eyes.
"Ugh, not that trash dump. The only fun person there is the moron - Castellar. The rest are trash. Impact and Webdings can go jump off a cliff for all I care!" Flowey claims pessimistically, wishing the deaths of another set of people. It's nothing new.
But the last thing he said bothers me slightly.
"Flowey...Don't tell people that. It's not nice." I stammer, shaking slightly as I'm reminded of a bad memory.
"Tyler?" He suddenly gulps, clambering up my arm to rest around my shoulder.
"...It's okay. Just...don't tell people to jump off cliffs, alright? That's a little harsh, even for you." I recover, smiling like nothing ever happened.
A minute later, and we reach Impact and Castellar's house. A note is attached to the door.
IF YOU NEED ME, I'LL BE IN THE BASEMENT.
- WEBDINGSI wonder what he's up to, I giggle. Flowey sighs in relief. Knocking on the door, I quickly think of a joke. It's kind of a thing between me and Impact, so we know that it's us.
"Knock knock!" I call, audibly attracting the attention of the two revenant siblings.
"IMPACT, NO." I hear Castellar groan.
"Who's there?" He calls back, chuckling slightly.
"IMPACT!"
"...A broken pencil!"
I hear him groan slightly before answering. He must have heard the joke before.
"A broken pencil who?" He replies, as methodically as clockwork. He already knows the punchline - he's just answering to humour me.
"Nevermind, it's pointless." I giggle, before Impact opens the door for me, glancing to the right, registering Flowey's existance.
"You really need some better pun material, kid." He chuckles, ushering me in.
After a few hours of me, Flowey, and the two siblings doing 5 rounds of free-for-all Mario Kart, Flowey threatening to slice my throat out for winning all 5, Castellar serving us all somewhat undescribable spaghetti, and Impact telling bad puns to throw everyone off, it's finally lunch time.
Impact grabs his jacket from his room, before teleporting back downstairs, in front of the door.
"Ready to go, Tyler?" Impact asks, zipping up his jacket swiftly.
"Yep!" I giggle.
