I awake to the sound of knocking on the front door. Rubbing my eyes and yawning, I quickly put some clothes on to go see who it is. Guidea still seems to be asleep, so I walk downstairs and open the door. I look up, and smile weakly.
"Hey Mom. What brings you here?" I grin, putting a hand my hips. Glancing behind her, I see a blue car, with the door still open. Mom casually twirls the keys around her index finger.
"I thought maybe you and I could have some family bonding time. I booked the day off work, so how about it?" She smiles, as I nod, letting her inside.
As Mom sits down at the table, I make my way towards the kitchen to make some juice and grab some food. I decide to grab some croissants for us both, and bring them, along with some orange juice, to the table.
"So Mom! Since we're going on a family outing, can I bring Guidea and Flowey too?" I ask, smiling. I see the faintest frown come across her face, before she replies, "Sure, why not?"
"Oh! Also, where are we going?" I continue excitedly, taking a drink of juice. Mom shrugs, and smiles.
"It's a surprise! I've even invited some others for you to meet, okay?" She beams, peaking my curiosity.
"Oh, okay! I'm going go wake the others!" I smile, finishing my juice.
"Guidea, wake up! We're going on a family outing!" I chirp, hearing a muffled yawn as a response. I decide to leave her alone for a bit, and move on to my room.
Flowey is already awake, and seems to be somberly staring out of the window.
"What if Luke was right? Sooner or later the humans are going to start another war. It's in their nature, it's only a matter of - Tyler?" Flowey mutters, before turning towards me. I pick up his flower pot, and sit on my bed to talk to him.
"Flowey, come on...I Know you wish Luke was here. I do too. Impact told me once never to make promises I can't keep. Well, this is a promise I don't intend to break. I promise...I Promise there will never be another war. As long as I'm around, I'll make sure of it. After all, isn't that part of what an ambassador does?" I grin, Flowey breaking a small smile.
"You know, Tyler...I Think Luke'll come back when he's ready. I mean, you told me about what happened back there, and I'm pretty sure even if Luke left, they could still come back. Heck, I- I mean, even Asriel came back, right?" He explains, with a weak smile. I think about it for a minute, and then smile.
"Yeah! You're right! Luke's gotta come back any time now, right?" I smile, looking out of the window. I instantly step back, seeing those all-too-familiar red eyes smirking back at me.
"Y-you! What are you doing here?" I yell, Flowey looking at the window in surprise, too.
"Calm down. I'm just here to...talk." My reflection murmurs, as I sit down, taking out my pen knife, where the fake reflection continues.
"You? Talk?" I spit, Flowey looking over my shoulder.
"That's some creepy paranormal stuff you got going on there..." He whispers to me, and I nod.
"You think that your friend is going to come back. But you're wrong. As long as I still persist, he will remain in the void forever!" They grin, a slight flash of purple crossing their eyes. I suddenly realise the truth.
"You're not me at all, are you? What are you doing with Luke?!" I shout, my reflection cackling, disappearing from view. Then, they reappear as my shadow, smirking. I see the shadow shift slightly, as they pull a face similar to Flowey's 'creepy face'.
"Oh? You go without even thinking about them for months, and NOW you care? How pathetic. If only you saved them earlier, Tyler!" They chuckle, as the shadow shifts to resemble Flowey.
"And as for you, Asriel...You'll Always be a monster, no matter how hard you try to change what you did in the past. You'll always be remembered as a coward!" The shadow continues, their eyes glowing a dark purple out of pure malice. I tremble, and clutch my knife.
"Shut...UP!" I yell, plunging my knife into the floorboards. The shadow smiles, and disappears. Steadying my breathing, I look in my knife, and smile at my regular reflection. Flowey seems shaken, but okay.
"Who...Who was that?" Flowey asks first, hesitating. I shrug.
"Maybe...Hopefully they were lying? Luke can still come back...right?" I respond, uncertain of what to do now.
Flowey sighs."Uhm...anyway Flowey, we're going out somewhere soon. You ready?" I smile, standing up again.
"Uh...yeah. Lets' go." Flowey replies, glancing back at his shadow, which has returned back to normal, too.
* The hope that one day Luke might return fills me with determination.
* Although...what that person said...
* ...fills me with dread.|| -- File Saved -- ||
