After we enter a clearing, I face the two revenant siblings with a newfound determination in my eyes.

"Uh...Why are you looking at us like that?" Impact raises an eyebrow, chuckling.

"I want you to teach me how to use magic!" I chirp. Impact and his sister are taken aback by this, but Castellar calmly accepts with an "OKAY!"

Impact, on the other hand, is apprehensive. "Kid, I'm pretty sure human magic and monster magic are completely different things. And besides from that, I'm not even a good teacher-"
Impact is cut off by Castellar, who seems fired up to teach me. I smile.

"DO NOT WORRY HUMAN! I, THE GREAT CASTELLAR, WILL GLADLY BE YOUR TUTOR! I CAN TEACH YOU, NO PROBLEM!" She grins innocently.

"Uhm...okay then Castellar. Whatever makes you happy." Impact sighs, giving into his sister.

"So how should I start?" I begin, making Castellar scratch her scalp (which yes, she does have).

"HOW ABOUT A BASIC SHIELD SPELL?" She advises.

"Okay, that's easy. How about I show them, Cas?" Impact replies, earning a shrug and a step backwards from Castellar. I watch intently.

"Well, it's pretty simple. All you do is..." He comments, as a small yellow barrier spreads out from his hands. He then floats it around with his blue magic and turns the sheet of magic into more of a shield-like shape.
"That."
"IMPACT! STOP SHOWING OFF!" Castellar snapped, before turning back to me smiling.

"Sorry. How about I take you through it, step by step?" She adds, noticeably switching to a calmer font.

I nod and grin. She sighs, and grins back as she crouches down next to me.

"Well, it's hard to describe, but first, close your eyes and imagine the shield in your hands. Can you imagine that?" She explains calmly, me following suit and humming in agreement.

"Alright...uh...now imagine a burst of energy flowing from your soul to your hands." Castellar demonstrates subconsciously, her hands glowing a bright orange.

After a few attempts, all I manage is a few sparks. I sigh, and try again.

How did I do it that one time? I was...feeling really strongly about my intent and purpose...then I nearly killed Impact...

I take a breath and think.

Lukas! You are the future of humans and monsters! Stay determined!

Then, my hands start glowing a faint red.

[Narrator's POV]
The light sputters out as you start having a panic attack. Your vision fades, and you black out.

"TYLER!" The siblings scream in unison.

Then you're brought back to Guidea for the second time, again because of Impact and his family.

[Tyler's POV]

"....Huh? Where am I?" I find myself in a room full of mirrors.
"A mirror maze?" I say aloud, my words echoing in the empty room. I turn to look at my reflection to see myself....

But I'm different...

It's me.

Lukas...

"Hello, partner =)." The reflection talks, all the dust particles on my-their hoodie shining in the light.

"...You're not the Luke I know."

"Am too. I'm the Tyler of many timelines ago. A Tyler who was weak, and accepted my power." The shadow grins.

"That...no. No!" I deny, shaking my head in anger.

"I'VE CHANGED, LUKE!" I scream helplessly, punching the mirror in rage. Blood trickles down my knuckles where the shards of glass cut me.

"I've....changed...." I start whimpering.

"I'v e . .   ." I trail off, starting to cry.

My reflection kneels down next to me and gives me a hug.

I don't notice the knife they're holding until-
