Ethan took me inside his house, but to call it that was an understatement. It was a massive mansion. The kind of place that had extra rooms just because they could. Ethan did not exude the kind of snobby character traits that came with a house like this. Although to be fair, Ethan didn't look proud of the expensive things I was staring at, nor did he offer me a tour of the rest of the house. He just took me up to his room.

Ethan's room was insanely different from the rest of the house. It was big, but none of the items seemed that extravagant. He had a bed on one side of the room, a desk across it, and a bookshelf next to it. There were trophies scattered about, some on the floor against the wall, some on the shelves. They looked dusty and some had toppled over. If Ethan cared about them, he didn't let it show. It was a rather large, but empty room. As if it was for him but he didn't live in it.?

I sat down on the bed as he turned the television on.

"Do you want to watch a scary movie?" he offered. "I mean it is Halloween, even though we don't like it."

I smiled. "Sure, you pick," I said as I laid down on the bed next to him.

He put something on and he turned the lights off.

"For dramatic effect," he explained.

I laughed. "Others would argue it's for something else."

He chuckled and came over to the bed. Ethan tilted my face up with his hand and kissed me.

"We can do whatever you want," he whispered.

It was a good thing the only light was coming from the television screen. I didn't want him to see how red my cheeks were.

We began watching the movie and even though it was supposed to be scary, I watched as Ethan became fairly sleepy. To be fair, it had been a long day. I watched as his head fell forward, he immediately shot back up.

"What time is it?" he asked just as the credits began to roll.

"Just a little past midnight," I said, looking at the time on the clock.

Oh crap. That was way past curfew. I took out my phone and noticed three texts from Monica.

One at eleven:

Where are you? It's almost curfew.

Then one at eleven thirty:

Nina said you're probably still with Ethan

Then another a few minutes after:

Use protection!! ;)

I rolled my eyes, but I was glad she wasn't mad.

I glanced back over at Ethan. "You look so tired," I said softly.

"Do you want me to drive you home?" he asked, yawning.

I didn't answer, I didn't want this to be awkward, but I wasn't sure how to tell him that I wouldn't mind if he didn't mind if I stayed over.

"Uh, no," I mumbled awkwardly. "Driving while tired is just like driving drunk," I stated.

What was that? Why did I say that? I quickly tried to backtrack. "Well I just mean-" I started to say.

"Chill Grey, you can stay here," he said sleepily as he got under the covers. .

I rolled my eyes, I was about to protest that I was a strong woman and I didn't ever worry about such little things, but when I looked over at him Ethan was just holding the blanket up for me to get under.

I dropped my argument and let him wrap his arms around me. I smiled as I started to fall asleep, the bed smelled like him.
