Mila: remember that stressful assignment i told you was coming up? the one we have to finish during our last week?

Finah: yeah..

Mila: well i finally got my partner

Finah: and...?

Mila: it's ariana

Finah: shit, really?

Mila: yeah

Mila: i don't know what to tell lauren

Finah: don't tell her shit, you know how protective she is

Mila: yeah, but i also know she doesn't like secrets

Mila: even though she kept one, she learned her lesson and now we've just been so open

Finah: it's not a secret if she just doesn't know

Mila: that's like literally the definition of a secret

Finah: ...

Finah: whatever, just don't tell her

Mila: would you keep something like this from mani?

Finah: well, no

Finah: but that's different. mani is different.

Finah: and lauren is... sensitive.

Mila: but.. it doesn't feel right, keeping it from her

Mila: she has a right to know that my ex girlfriend and i are gonna be working on a project together for the rest of the school year

Mila: she has a right to know ariana is persistent and pushy and doesn't stop until she gets her way

Mila: and you know what her way is

Finah: yeah.. i know

Mila: i'll just.. i'll see how our first meeting about this project goes.

Finah: that's a good idea

Mila: but she doesn't even know that ariana exists

Mila: i know about brad and lucy

Mila: but she doesn't know about either of my ex's

Finah: she doesn't need to know, that's in the past

Finah: you're with her now, and that should be enough

Mila: yeah, but.. taylor and ariana are both part of why i am who i am

Mila: being with them changed me, whether i wanted it to or not. just like being with lauren has changed me.

Mila: i'm gonna tell her. just not right now.

Finah: alright, if that's what you think is the right thing to do, go ahead

Finah: but be careful when you tell her. i know that when things hurt you, they hurt her. just like how you beat yourself up after talking to lucy when you found out the past she had with her, when she finds out the experiences you had with ariana... it won't be a fun conversation

Mila: god, you're supposed to encourage me to do the right thing, not dread it
