~~~~~A/N~~~~~
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to update yesterday. I try to everyday, but it gets hard sometimes. I also want to quickly thank everyone reading this again because when I first started writing this I was sure no one would read it, so it means a lot that people are.
Sam's P.O.V.
The next morning I woke up to an empty bed. I knew he had to go to school, I just couldn't wait to spend time with him. I only had today and tomorrow before the Grier boys were coming, so I wanted to make the most of our time together. I would have to share him for the rest of the week, not that I'm complaining, I just didn't want him to forget about me because his best friend was visiting.
It was 10 now so I went downstairs to their kitchen. Sharon was at work and left a note on the counter for Ashley and I.
Had to go into work today. Help yourself to anything around the house. I think I can trust you girls enough to not destroy my home while I'm gone
-Sharon
She was so sweet. I helped myself to a banana. She said to take whatever we'd like, but I just felt bad taking other peoples food from them. Ashley walked down with a groan. "Why is there no food for me today?" she whined.
"Sharon had work today and said to help ourselves. Don't be greedy." I reminded her. I took another bite of my banana and sat on the couch to watch TV.
"Well then why are you only eating a banana? You seriously couldn't just want a banana for breakfast." Ashley insisted. I knew where this was going. She wanted me to make her breakfast because she was to lazy to do it herself.
"Ashley! I'm not making you breakfast because your lazy." I laughed. "Make your own damn breakfast but don't eat all their food." I advised her.
"I don't wanna make myself breakfast." She legit sounded like she was five years old. "And why can't we eat all their food, she said in her note that we could have whatever we wanted." She continued whining.
"Just because someone says that, doesn't mean you should cook all the food they have and leave nothing for them." I should totally be a philosopher.
"There you go with your words or wisdom again. You should seriously think about making a career out of that." Ashley joked. She and I both knew that I was not cut out to give people advise. Not seriously anyways.
"Shut up and eat your apple." I said to her laughing, pointing to the fruit she had just taken out of the fridge. That's when I realized it was a pear, not an apple.
"This is a pear you idiot. You need to know more about your fruits." She said as she threw the pear at me. I caught the now bruised fruit and threw it back hitting her in the shoulder.
"Oww! that hurt!" she exclaimed. "It's already bruising meanie" she stated.
"You threw it at me first!" I pointed out.
"Yeah but I missed." She's got to be kidding me.
"like it's my fault you've got bad aim." I spit back and we both cried out in laughter.
At about 2:30 I watched Cameron's car roll down the street, only he didn't stop at his house. I watched closer as he pulled up to the house next door. I saw a girl get out of his car and walk up to what I'm assuming is her house. But this girl wasn't any girl. She was drop dead gorgeous. As if it wasn't bad enough I live across the country from the guy I like, now I know that he lives next to a girl 10 times better than I am. I saw him pull into his own driveway and walk in through the front door.
He caught sight of me and smiled. I smiled back even though it was fake. It bothered me that everyday after school he drove a living Barbie doll home. It bothered me even more that she was living next door to him.
"Hey beautiful." He greeted walking over to me. I was standing right next to the window just next to the door, so it didn't take him long to get to where I was.
"Hey" I said quietly looking at him. He could tell that I was acting different but I couldn't help it. I liked a boy that I had no chance with anyways and now I find out that he's living next to a supermodel. How was I supposed to react?
"Are you ok?" he asked genuinely concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine I just uhh I'm not actually ok." I confessed looking down to my feet. He rushed over to me tilting my head up to look into his hazel eyes.
"Tell me what's wrong." He ordered. It wasn't really pushy or mean. I could tell that he just wanted to help. He walked over to the couch on the other side of the living room and patted the seat next to him, waiting for me to follow. I did as he wished and be looked at me waiting for me to begin.
"You going to think this is really stupid." I said trying desperately for him to say I didn't have to tell him.
"I don't care. I'd rather it be a stupid thing your upset about anyways. Then I can easily fix the problem." Dammit.
"Well I saw you dropping off that girl and got jealous I guess." I said looking back down at the floor shamefully.
"Emma? why would you be jealous of her?" he asked in disbelief.
"Because she is like absolutely perfect and conveniently lives right next door to you." I said stating what I thought was obvious, guess not.
"Well she's had a crush on me since I was like 5." He stated as if that was supposed to make me feel better. So she's a gorgeous girl living next door that has a huge crush on the guy I liked. Perfect. That makes everything all better (note the sarcasm).
"Is that supposed to encourage me?" I asked confused. He laughed, but still continued.
"I never went out with her because everyday I see her bringing home a new guy. She is so un loyal and I don't want a girl like that. She's also extremely boring. She acts stupider than she is and thinks she's better than everyone else. I don't want a girl with a bad personality and a pretty face. I want one with both, that's why I'm with you." He said nudging my shoulder to try to lighten my mood more. I hugged him tightly and released a huge smile. He always knew how to cheer me up.
"Just one question, why do you drive her home everyday?" I asked the one question that threw me off.
"Well when we started freshman year, she admitted to liking me, even though I already knew. I refused to go out with her and she got so mad and went to go tell her dad to make me go out with her. He came to my house and offered me money, yet I still refused to go out with that spoiled bitch." He explained to me carefully choosing his words.
"So then what?" I said nudging him to continue.
"At the beginning of this year, her father came back. He explained how she's made a lot of bad choices and he thinks it's because she's depressed that I wouldn't go out with her. Although the real reason is because she knows she can do whatever she wants and gets away with it. Anyways, he offered me money again just to drive her home from school everyday and I accepted. It's only a 5 minute drive and she lives right next door so I figured it'd be an easy way to get paid." He concluded looking at me for approval.
"But she's right next door. How do you avoid her so easily?" I asked interested.
"Well let's just say the fence in the backyard didn't exist until after my freshman year of high school." He said making me laugh. I was glad nothing was going on with him and that girl. I really liked him, and I trusted him, I just didn't trust her. But now I know not to worry because Cam likes me and not her.
"So, now how do you feel?" He asked with a smirk growing across his face.
"Relieved" I said sighing. He leaned in and yet again sparks flew as our lips touched.
