Sam's P.O.V.

I didn't know what to say. I sat there in the car speechless. "I even called Mrs. Dallas and she gave you permission to come early! And she agreed not to tell Cameron so you can surprise him at home! Isn't this great sweetheart. I thought you'd be happier? Is all of this alright?" she asked concerned.

"It's all great mom, it just feels so surreal." I explained trying to hold back my smile. I was now done processing the information just told to me and was so happy.

"Well I'm glad you like the idea. So we have to get you packed." She said as she raced home so we can pack my bags like she was moving me out permanently, she was happier than me.

"Just one question, why are you doing all this?" I asked carefully. She looked so happy and I didn't want to ruin that mood for her.

"Well I like Cam, he seems like a nice boy that really cares about you. And he makes you happier than I've seen you in a long time. You guys just click together and I would let you travel the world if it means you two are together. But thank god it's only across the country because I couldn't stand living with you being so far away." She explained. It was strange. I always imagined having a boyfriend my mother disapproved of, not one that she liked so much she let me travel across country alone to go see him for a week.

We went upstairs to pack and I realized I had to call Ashley. My mom then remembered that she also got Ashley's flight switched and made sure to get permission from her parents so she can leave earlier as well.

"Sam! why are you calling me! I was in class and my phone went off! I was lucky they let me take the call." Ashley answered pissed off.

"My mom is coming to get you out of school early! we now leave for California tonight because my mother was awesome enough to get our flights switched!" I rushed not taking a breathe between sentences.

"Omg! that's incredible! I have to go pack. I can't wait to get to Cali" she screeched into the phone." Well I'll see you in a bit then" she said and hung up.

I continued packing while my mom left to being Ashley from school to her house. I was just about finished when she got back. I guess she waited for Ashley to pack and then bring her back here until the flight tonight. We had about 5 hours until we left so we had to leave in like an hour so we don't miss our plane.

I finished packing my suitcase and loaded my carry on quickly and we made our way out the door and to the airport.

When we got there, it took forever to go through security and all that other stuff. We had 20 minutes now and we were just waiting, on our phones like the basic white girls we are (just joking I mean no offense to anyone). When it was time for us to board the plane I turned to my mom to find her crying. We hugged and said our goodbyes and I reassured her everything would be fine and it was only for a week. Then we were on our way.

When we got on the plane, I was the lucky one with the window seat. I quickly texted Mrs.Dallas to tell her we were on the plane and we would text her when we were off. I fell asleep shortly after that.

I woke to Ashley shaking me fiercely. "Sam we landed, it's time to go." She said dragging out each word. I looked outside and couldn't believe the sight in front of me. It was gorgeous here and I could tell I was never going to want to leave.

We got off the plane and went over to claim our baggage and were headed out the door. We hailed a cab and I used some of the money my mom had given me to pay for it. I texted Mrs.Dallas again to say we were in a cab on the way to her house and she responded saying she would meet us outside.

After about a 15 to 20 minute drive we finally arrived at his beautiful house. It was so great just like all the other houses we passed on the way here. These people were living like royalty.

Mrs.Dallas met us outside like she promised and helped us with our bags. Before we went inside she informed us that her son was sleeping so we had to be extra quiet. It was the middle of the day, but still. We put our bags in the guest bedroom we would be sharing for the next week and started to quietly unpack. Cam's room was conveniently next door so if we heard any movements we would stop but he never woke up.

It was 6:30 and he was still snoozing away. Mrs. Dallas came up and told us to come down to eat and that we didn't have to wait for him to wake from his slumber. I was grateful because I was starving at the moment.

"Thank you misses Dallas" I said politely showing off my manners.

"Don't even worry about it. And for gods sake call me Sharon."(idk if that's really his moms name but I'm not sure what it is so just go with it)

"Well thank you Sharon. And thank you for letting us stay here with you this week" I said flashing a smile.

"Please it is no big deal. The Grier's were coming anyways so it really was no problem at all" she said giving away the secret I was keeping from Ashley. Her jaw dropped and I swear she as going to faint. I knew they were coming but I wanted to surprise her. I guess it worked.

We finished dinner and I offered to help Sharon with the dishes. I washed while Ashley dried and Sharon would put them back in the cabinet where they belong. We were joking around and we all found ourselves erupting with laughter until I heard someone in the doorway. "Good morning sleepyhead" I said cheekily as he caught sight if me.

Cameron's P.O.V.

I was enjoying my daily nap when I woke from racket coming from downstairs. I ignored it at first because I figured my mom just had some of her friends over and they were just having fun. But then I heard a laugh that sounded all too familiar. I thought it was just my imagination again because that's been happening a lot lately. But it sounded so real. I would never forget her laugh. It was like music to my ears. So I went downstairs to see what it was.

As I was walking, I thought about it. She wasn't supposed to come until Saturday. It was only Wednesday now, so it couldn't be her. I walked into the kitchen doorway and looked up. My eyes met with those gorgeous hazel ones that I haven't seen in what felt like forever. I just stared and her gaze never left mine. "Good morning sleepyhead" she said directed at me. Her voice sounded angelic, I can barely make out what she was saying. I was caught so off guard and was so surprised. Sam was actually standing in my kitchen.

A smile swept over my face and I raced to her, engulfing her in the biggest hug I've ever given someone in my life. I missed her so much and all this time she was here and I was upstairs napping while I could've been with her.

I still didn't know why I felt so strongly for her. I liked her a lot yeah, but I thought it was way too soon to call that love. Yeah we clicked instantly and it just seems so perfect when I'm around her but I just don't even bother of thinking to label what we had.

I finally let go of her and just stared at her. Then I heard another familiar voice come from beside me," hello to you too" was the snarky remark they let out.

"Hey Ash, great to see ya again." I exclaimed hugging her in one of those awkward side hugs. Sam was the only thing really on my mind right now.
