Chapter 7 #kissindaboy

Sam's P.O.V.

When Hayes and Ashley got off the Ferris wheel all you can here were wolf whistles and "Get it in Hayes" coming from the guys teasing them for kissing each other.

"Shut up guys" Hayes would mutter. Ashley just stood by him unable to keep a smile off her face. I was happy for her, I just wasn't sure about something.

The whole time Hayes and Ashley were being teased Cam did not say a word. I thought he'd be happy for Hayes, as he is like a little brother to Cam. But he just stood by me. He looked like his mind was in a whole other world.

"Let's go guys, the shows about to start." He spoke for everyone to hear. I had to know what was going on with him. He just wasn't being himself all of a sudden.

We all walked to the show. The show went by just as it did last night, lots if laughs then some pictures and a signings for all the fans. It was walking home that really got my attention. It was just Cam and I, as he was walking me to my room, and it was silent. Not like the peaceful silences we have already encountered, more like an awkward silence that is avoidable.

"So do you have anything you wanna talk to me about?" I suggested. I really wanted to know what was going on inside his head.

"I'm just kinda bummed about Hayes and Ashley kissing I guess" he admitted slowly. Why was he upset about it? Did he like Ashley?

"Why?" I asked rushing to know. I thought he liked me, but I guess not.

"It's just, I was planning on asking you out tonight, because the day had been so fun, and I wanted it to be special but they kinda just ruined the mood and it's not really special anymore because they're together and I really wanted to make this night great"

"Cam it's already great. Not because Hayes and Ashley are together, but because we had a great time together today. I had tons of fun and I never want it to end." I interrupted his rambling.

I lit up as I saw the smile spreading across his lips. "Well then ummm.... the guys and I were gonna crash at ikea tomorrow night. You know sneak in and stay there all night just mess around. Wanna come with?" he asked hesitantly.

"Why on earth would you want to break into ikea after hours and stay there all night? that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! But I will come because I just love spending time with all of you guys" I said. It was true, the idea was ridiculous and I did love spending time with them, but I just agreed because Cam was going to be there.

"Ok that's great!" Cam exclaimed. "And it was Taylor's idea. I don't know what runs through that boys mind." He joked. I couldn't help but giggle at his statement. We arrived at my door. "Well I'll see you tomorrow then. Oh. And when are you guys leaving, have you uh figured it out yet?" he stuttered out nervously.

"Yeah about that ummm I'm leaving in 3 days" I said quickly, like ripping off a bandaid. I asked my mom last night when we would be going home and since them I've been trying to make the most of our limited time here.

"What?!? That's not long enough! you can't leave me just yet!" he said hugging me. I knew then that he didn't want me to leave. And I didn't want to leave either. I have really grown close to Cam and even developed feelings for him. It's definitely too soon to label those feelings but I just didn't want to leave him. We stood there hugging for a while until I decided it'd be best to go inside.

"Cam these last couple of days have been the best of my life. I've made memories I will cherish forever and over these next 3 days I will do anything to make more. And I will see you over spring break ok? I don't care what our parents say, I can't stay away from you for that long" I spoke to him. I didn't want to leave him and our parents would probably let us see each other anyways but still I wanted to see my new best friend no matter what I'd have to do to get there.

After that, I went into the hotel room to see Ashley sitting curling up in the corner of her bed, cuddling a pillow smiling huge. I have to admit it was a pretty creepy sight to say the least. "So talk" I ordered Ashley. We haven't really had much time to talk to each other since we got here so I was glad now we had the chance to.

"Well Hayes asked me to be his girlfriend on the Ferris wheel and I said yes and then we kissed. It's really simple really. We both knew we liked each other and didn't really have doubts on wanting to be together so we decided to make it official. And I know we are leaving soon but I just want to be with him while I have the chance. Even if we do have to end it in 3 days." I believed her. She's always been one to live in the moment and not over think things because of what the future might hold, I on the other hand was the complete opposite. "Now enough about my story let me here yours! it's far more interesting I bet"

"Why would you say that?" I asked truly curious. She actually had something going with Hayes. Cam and I were just a fantasy that I was waiting around for it to become a reality. But it was just never going to happen I guess.

"Because silly, you can see the chemistry between the two of you. How you care about how the other one feels more than yourself. Or how you get extremely insecure but are completely comfortable around him at the same time. Or how I'd assume you get butterflies by just catching his eye from across the room, or the sparks when you build up the courage to hold each other's hand. You and him are a match made in heaven and there's no denying it. The only people that can't see that the two of you are meant to be are you and him because your too blind to see that you are crazy about each other." She wrapped up her speech and went to sleep leaving me with my thoughts.

Did he really like me? Were we really 'meant to be' as Ashley put it? Was I going about this all wrong and I should just take the chance? I didn't know the answers the my own questions, but I knew if I didn't take the chance, the outcome will haunt me forever.
