❝ wherever you are ❞ | CH. THREE

---"honestly remus," Sirius said whilst the four of them shoved through the crowd of students busily rushing to their classes, "I think you're going crazy."

"I am not," Remus tutted, turning away from the boy, "she is real."

Sirius only rolled his eyes, "how do you say so?"

"Oh sod off Padfoot," James interjected, "just let Moony have a little fun with his imaginary girlfriend."

Remus narrowed his eyes into a glare as he stared down the two, "she is real. Last night was the tenth dream I've had with her, and not in that kind of way." He added hastily, earning a laugh from his friends. All except for Peter who only gave him an apologetic look.

Ever since the first day of school, Remus has dreamed of the same brown haired girl every night. Though he never knew her name, he willed himself to think she was his soulmate.

"I think she's my soulmate," he blurted out. His eyes fixed on his books as his friends stopped walking, shocked at their friend's conclusion.

Remus, on the other hand just kept walking, with a smile proudly adorning his features at the thought that maybe he wasn't suppose to be alone.

---back in Ilvermorny, the halls were no different as Asteria and Louis were squeezed by the swamp of students. Usually they'd go to class early to avoid this kind of predicament, if it wasn't for Louis who woke up late.

"Excuse me," he said, gently shoving past a blonde girl before turning to his friend who was right behind him, "rough morning, huh?"

"All thanks to you," Asteria said, giving him a pointed look.

"It wasn't my fault I woke up late," he argued, turning back to the crowd. Asteria only rolled her eyes at him as she followed his lead.

"How about the dreams? Have you found his name yet?" Louis asked, diverting the conversation from him.

"No," Asteria groaned, "everytime I try to ask he either disappear or just change the subject."

"Ouch," Louis winced, "he probably doesn't like you." He laughed, earning a painful slap on the back by Asteria. "I was just kidding, no need to break my spinal cord," he raised his hands up in surrender as he continued to dodge more people.

"Any luck with yours tho?" Asteria asked.

Louis shrugged, "not a thing."

--they say the sun loved the moon so much that it died every night to let her breathe. But what about the moon? Did she loved the sun the same as he loved her? Did she die every day to let him breath too?

Asteria didn't know. As she stared at the bright full moon. Her mind recalling back to the story her mum told her every night. The story that made her believe that everyone, even at how different they may be, has someone to make them whole. Like the moon and the sun.

Her heart was racing as she fiddled with the letter her mum has given her this afternoon.

"Asteria, isn't that your owl?" Louis asked, pointing to the familiar barn owl her family used.

"I guess so..." she trailed off as the owl descended just right in front of her. Her finger stroked the back of it's feathers, making the owl shake his head. Asteria giggled before taking the two envelopes it carried. She gave it some bread as a treat before it flew away. Hurriedly, she opened the envelope before her eyes scanned the the piece of parchment.

"Well?" Louis asked expectantly.

"I-i'm leaving," she whispered. Louis' eyes went wide before taking the letter off her hands. Meanwhile, she sat still from her chair, a small grin on her face.

She couldn't help but smile at this. Thinking it was a sign as she continued to stare at the moon. And the letter in her hands made her giddy yet nervous, she didn't knew why. But apart from that, she felt scared and guilty. She didn't want to leave Louis behind but she also didn't want to be left behind too.

She was going to Hogwarts.
