---the house felt darker than what Asteria remembered it to be. The always bright and fun Williams House was nothing more than a ghost of its past. She remembered Christmas, the last time she was able to spend time with her parents.

It still felt so surreal to her. The fact that one day you're on top of the world and then that world just came crashing down.

She had just received a handful of letters from her friends.

I just want to check in on you and ask how you're doing. I know it must be hard but I want you to know that we're all here for you. You may not be that close to me, James and Peter but please don't be scared to write to us when you need to.

How are you settling in by the way? I heard from Lily that you're living with your friends from Ilvermorny right now. That must be nice but I'm quite upset you told Lily but not me :( have I been dethroned by Lily Evans on your friend ranking? Because if yes please tell me how to get it back :(

I also want to ask how you're feeling at the moment? Merlin knows there's nothing more that I want to do than be with you right now.

Hello.

It looks like even in letters I have no idea how to talk to you---which is weird since I talk to you a lot in person. It just feels so surreal to know that we're going to spend the rest of our lives connected with one another. It's both exciting and scary. Especially for me.

I just wanted to ask how have you been since leaving Hogwarts. For me it's very weird leaving that place and not returning for a long time. I hope you're coping better than me.

She decided to write to Remus first before the other two, settling down some bird seeds for Dorcas' owl. For some reason, it didn't surprise her that this was the third owl the girl has had in her life.

"Asteria!" Imogen called out from the kitchen, "breakfast is ready."

"I'm still writing, I'll come down afterwards!" She replied back. She took the pen from the table's drawers and began writing.

Dear Remus,

It's okay, I don't mind. I find it oddly endearing that you're nervous to write to me. But I also want to assure you that there's nothing you should be nervous about. You've been nothing but a very dear person to me and I'm glad we are destined to be. I look forward to spending the next years of my life with you, werewolf and all. You don't need to change and you don't need to be scared for me. I like you the way you are.

Leaving Hogwarts feels especially weird for me. I've only been there for a year and, in that timespan, it makes me yearn for it more. It is a very magical place, it and also my beloved Ilvermorny back in America.

They made me find my true friends and they made me find you.

Asteria took the note and gave it to her own owl, Rory. At the same time her brown owl flew away, another owl landed by her window. As she took the envelope the owl held, it flew next to Dorcas'owl and ate the seeds alongside it.

Dear Asteria,

I'm sorry to have written you with this, especially with what has happened. But Dumbledore told me it was worth a try. We actually wanted to ask if you would like to join the Order of the Phoenix.

We're a group of people who wants to put an end to Voldemort's reign. Feel free to reply using my owl. We would greatly appreciate it if you want to participate and maybe recruit some people who would like to take part in our cause.

hello hello! So yeah this ain't that good but I hope you guys liked(?) it. I'm trying to figure out how this story will go from here since my mind is not the same as it was in 2017 when I wrote this. I'll still update on this though but it may take some time so please be patient :)
