"Wait in the car," I wave her off as Wade walks outside behind me. I calm my features before turning around with a smile on my face. "Hi," I say widening my smile.
"Cut the crap," he says with a straight face. "I know you're forcing the smile, how stupid do you think I am?" He barks out. I take a step away from him and cross my arms.
"I don't know what your problem is, but chill okay?" I say trying to keep this calm. Wade rolls his eyes, I look in the window from the side of my eye and see Aiden watching with a concerned expression.
"Whatever. You're a terrible liar." He laughs dryly. Not an actual laugh, and he gets on me for fake smiles. Kind of hypocritical, don't you think? "About this morning..." he trials off.
"It's fine, I don't care. You had a dream, everyone haves them." I shrug, but I really just want to ask him what it was about.
"Why'd you leave?" He asks in a softer. He looks down at me, his thick lashes hooding his eyes.
"I had stuff to do." I shrug. He looks at me warily.
"I would have went jogging with you, we still haven't. That's the whole reason I got involved with you and then it turned into working out and then Friday and Saturday." He takes a step forward. He takes a curl of my hair between his fingers. "Were you mad at me?" He asks, his breath fanning my cheek.
I clear my throat trying to pull myself together. "I...uh, I felt like I should leave. It didn't seem like you really wanted me there, you kicked me out of your room and locked me out." I explain. He pulls on the curl when I say that. I look over and see that Aiden is watching with a confused expression. "I should go," I step away from him.
I walk away from him without looking back. I get in the car and tell Nicole to go. Wade is so dang confusing, he's hot one day, well he's always hot...ok. He's warm one day and cold the next. I don't understand him and it's bothering me. I don't think I can keep up with him.
As we drive, Nicole sends me quick glances as if trying to figure something out. "Are you with Wade?" She asks raising her perfect blonde eyebrows at me.
"What? No." I say giving her a confused look. She raises a brow and purses her lips.
"You sure? Because he looked like he wanted to kiss you. And quite frankly you looked like you wanted to kiss him back, Rhys." Because I wanted to. No. Uh uh. I shake my head. "Oh, stop denying it. You're at least attracted to him."
"Who isn't?" I ask looking out the window. She smiles and nods her head in agreement. I wonder if Wade is attracted to me. Doesn't matter. We are just training buddies.

"Ah!" I cry out as I hit the mats. We are practicing defenses and I just got my leg kicked out. My face hits the mat and I groan. I stand back up. There's this one place that I never can cover and Max is trying to get me to block it.
He does a different set of throws and gets me in the lower rib and kicks me down. Max doesn't hit me very hard, not enough to leave bruises. I fall to the ground and my anger goes through the roof. I hit the ground with my fist and let out a frustrated yell.
"Come on, Rhys, you can do it." Max assures me, but I shake my head as I sit up. "Get up and do it again." He commands. I do as he says and seconds later I end up on the ground. He sighs when he sees me struggling to keep myself together. "Go and work on the punching bags. We will try again in a bit." He dismisses me.
I get up and kick a table across the front area. Cassy eyes me with a frown at I kick it again and stalk toward the punching bags. I sit on the bench and put my head in my hands.
I drag my hands down my face and let out a strangled sound. I can't do this. I can't freaking do this. I take a drink of water and hit the bags for the next ten minuets.
"C'mon, Rhys, lets try again." Max orders me. I hit the bag once more and stand on the mats. The rings are currently being used so we are just using the mats.
I throw a series of punches and keep my hands up waiting for him to hit my ribs. He hits my left shoulder and I move toward the right. He takes the opportunity and hits me on the right rib and uses his force to get me to the ground.
I lay on the floor and over my eyes with my bloody hands. I can't do this. Tears well in my eyes as I struggle to find the will to keep going. I don't find it. I just lay on the ground and hate myself.
"Rhys," a voice says softly.
"Go away." I say defeated. I don't even care who it is. They pull me to a sitting position and pry my hands from my face. Wade is sitting in front of me with his hands cupping my face. "You can't give up on yourself. You have to keep going, Rhys. I know, it's hard. I know. I've been through everything you've been through and it sucks so much. But the only way you'll get better, I promise. I'll help you and in return you can help me. Lets help each other." He says as he wipes away my tears. Again, I'm a very emotional fighter.
He presses my head to his chest and rubs my back. "Lets get back up and I'll show you what you're doing wrong." He helps me to a standing position. He orders me to put my hands up. He says that my arms are a little off and I'm not being quick enough to cover myself.
After about an hour of working on the same thing I block his light hit. My eyes widen when I do. "Wade!" I cry out happily. "I did it," I say throwing my hands around his neck. "Thank you so much." I say bouncing on the balls of my feet.
"Anytime, Skippy." He says. I raise a brow.
"Skippy? That's a weird one." I say as I take off my wraps.
"What else can I call you? Skippy just seems you, you're always happy, bubbly, and bouncy." He shrugs.
"I mean, I have a name. Everyone else uses it." I say and he laughs as he takes off his wraps too.
"Well, I think I'll stick to Skippy." He grins as he tugs at my ponytail. "So, lets go shower and we'll go home." He says grabbing his bag.
"I'm not showering with you." I say heading toward the girl locker rooms. He rolls his eyes and goes into the guys locker room.
When I get home my parents are setting up the table and adding three extra placemats. I eye them suspiciously as I walk further into the kitchen. I had just come home from the gym after my shower and change into fresh clothes.
"Are we having guest?" I ask as I sniff the air and inhale the sweet smell of steak. Mm.
"Yeah, I made a new friend. Her name is Regina, she lives three houses up. She has two boys living with her. Oh, what are their names..." she trials off as she thinks.
"Their names are Jeremy and Wade." I confirm.
"Oh, you know them? Days said you were dating Wade." She says. I know Wade, but not really Jeremy. I groan and drag myself further in the kitchen. Great. Just freaking great. Now our moms are going to be best of friends. Yay. Total sarcasm.
"I'm not dating Wade, we just work out together. I'm going to go change," I grumble and go upstairs as my mother laughs. I put on a white dress and put on eyeliner and sandals. The door bell rings.
