Eren was at a loss for words. All of this information was being flooded into his mind like an overfilled sink. It just kept coming, no matter how his brain may process it.

They kept him away from Sina? Mercenaries? Why did his parents break the rule?

"Does Levi know about this?"

Kuchel sighed. "No, but now that you're both in danger we figured it was time to tell you. Separately."

Suddenly they heard yelling through the room's door and what seemed to be further down the hallway.

"Hey, get the fuck off of me. I can walk."

Eren turned to Kuchel, silently asking if he'd been brought in to be informed on what was happening. She nodded.

Before Eren could ask any more questions, Ms. Ackerman got up and straightened her blazer, making her way toward the door and opening it. She gestured for two tall men in suits to come in, and Eren soon saw Levi follow.

They made eye contact, and Eren shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Kuchel sat down at the desk in front of Eren after dismissing the men escorting Levi. Kuchel looked at Levi, starting at his messy undercut and making her way down. Examining him, shocked to see how he'd grown up.

"Levi, please sit down. I'd like to discuss something if you don't mind." Kuchel spoke.

"Who are you?" Levi asked, taking a deep breath and shifting his weight to the other foot.

"We'll get to that if you cooperate. I just need some of your time." Levi looked over at Eren, confused and slightly irritated, before taking a seat at the chair next to the brunette.

Kuchel went over everything she did with Eren. Keeping Eren away from Sina. Mercenaries.

She also introduced some new things for the both of them. Money. Debt. Death. Regret.

She saved the most shocking to Levi for last though. The parents Levi has known his whole life, and who his real parents are.

"Levi, I'm your biological mother."

Levi scoffed. "Bullshit."

Eren spoke now. "She seems pretty serious to me Levi.." he mumbled.

"This has nothing to do with you, Eren. Just stay out of it." Levi hissed in Eren's direction.

Eren was offended now. "Nothing to do with me? You aren't the only one who's never had their real parents around. You may have had someone other than who you thought at home, but I didn't have anyone." Eren finished and sat back in his chair, leaving Levi even more irritated.

"You two need to stop. I need you both to work together, and arguing will do nothing but put you at a higher risk."

"Work together? For what?" Levi asked.

"You both need to leave town. As soon as possible."

Eren and Levi looked at each other, and it was a silent agreement that neither wanted to do this. Eren turned away, looking at Kuchel. "I'd like to talk to my parents, please."

"We can have them here within the next few hours, but I'd like for you both to be heading out of town by tomorrow morning."

"Thank you." Eren said. Levi was silent, listening and considering the danger they were in. "I have a question, Ms Ackerman." Eren asked. Levi sent a glare his way.

"Then ask it, Eren."

"How do you think this will end?" Levi looked up, even he wanted the answer.
