"That's fine by me." Four smirks were all Yoongi saw before they came charging at him. Jungkook pulled the boy up, almost tearing his collar...He heard the small 'tearing' sound, indicating that the material was ripping.
Yoongi wasn't stupid though. Jungkook was just naive. Kicking the boy so that he dropped him and then repeating the same action until he fell down. Yoongi wasn't sure whether to be thankful for the small interval but it sure as hell helped him a lot when his current 'family' wasn't doing anything to help him.
Jimin then lurched forward, taking out two knives to throw. He missed. "You really lack in the aiming department don't you? At least that's something all four of you have in common." Yoongi laughed, only to have the four men spit at him. "Yo, calm down. These dinosaur shoes are rare oh my God people these days. So inconsiderate."
"You have really weird people working for you, don't you?" Without an answer Yoongis boss broke free, going straight for Seokjin's throat, strangling him until he released his grip on Hoseok. So now, it's two on two but for Yoongi it's two on one.
Time seemed to have stop; well, it must've been the clocks battery that died, causing the hands to stop so abruptly. But time stopped for Yoongi. The walls that were painted a dark grey now had ruby red blood cascading down them. Lights that were dull but still gave off a glow stopped functioning. Darkness was starting to consume them. Corners were now being engulfed by the odd dark 'smoke', etching panic onto Yoongi's face.
'It's happening again' he thought. His own mind was tormenting him, playing games on him that even he couldn't tell what was real and what wasn't when it happened.
A sharp pain struck his abdomen, waking him up from his illusive nightmare. Although, reality still was a nightmare. Just a 'slightly' less scary one. He looked down and realised, he got stabbed. Not with a knife of course. We all know he could recover from a simple knife wound. Poison was now running through his veins, slowly but surely making it's way to his heart.
Loud groans and yells could be heard but it was like white noise. Felt just like it. It was like he was trapped in a t.v filled with static when it's first turned on, screaming into his ear that it was deafening. So deafening he could no longer hear them. He was lost; lost in his thoughts and lost in the poison that was trying to captivate his life.
Though his movements were heavy, he still managed to grab his divers knife, clumsily running at the taller boy, throwing him onto the ground, making a loud 'crashing' noise echo throughout the room. Sloppily, he cut into the younger. Jungkook twisted his body. There was no change to their positions.
"You shouldn't be picking on kids." The oldest of them mocked, giving Yoongi no time to counter attack his right hook. Yoongi's vision was starting to get blurry, unable to define who was who now. All he went off on was their vibes. Blindly, he started attacking once more. Blood that was said to be thicker than water was starting to cover the floor.
After five minutes of sloppy, brutal and merciless slashes, an earbursting noise grasped everyone's attention. Faces filled with shock. Some with devastation. Yoongi's boss was holding an Akdal Ghost TR-01 and lying before him, the oldest of the men, 'Bang' as he liked to go by. Was now bleeding to death.
"Bang!" Seokjin ran over to the man. He'd be mad if only he didn't expect for any of this to happen. But he knew that would happen. They were about to rob and kill the most feared guys in the game. So he couldn't cry. Even when the salty teardrops were stinging his eyes. He couldn't cry.
"I hate you!" Jungkook screamed, charging towards Yoongi's boss, acting as if he was about to kill him. But he didn't. Instead, he turned to Hoseok. "I seriously hate you. If you're going to take away the ones I love then I guess I should do the same to you."
Realization came too late for the two men as Jungkook had already shot and stabbed Hoseok multiple times. Now in vital places but with that many blows, he was going to die. There was no way of fixing it. The three boys took their commander, quickly escaping before Yoongi could get his hands on them. The pair fell to their knees, sobbing as they watched Hoseok slowly losing himself.
Yoongi cradled his head while his boss held his hands. "Hey, guys...Why does my heart hurt?" He managed a chuckle, filled with pain and agony and were one of the last laughs he'd be able to suffice. Tears landed on the younger boys cheeks as Yoongi took off the dinosaur head. "You're not the only one Hoseokie. My heart hurts too." Yoongi's tears couldn't stop spilling and neither could his boss.
Sure the pair treated him like absolute shit most of the time but whenever they treated him with kindness, it felt like they were a family. It felt like home. A weird, sick, messed up home that he loved none the less and he loved his crazy family because in the end, he was treated like that to become strong enough to save them. But here he is, crying his eyes out because he couldn't save him.
"You know guys...I've always wondered this. Are we really bad guys? Do we deserve...this?" Hoseok choked out a cry, blood slightly coming from his mouth. To put his mind at ease, Yoongi cupped the younger boys cheeks, staring into his eyes. "We're not bad guys Hoseokie...we're just broken butterflies who ended up not being able to fly."
"But I want to fly, Yoongi-ah. I want to fly with you and boss. But, if we're all butterflies with broken wings, I don't mind being that with you either. We can just stay on the ground. Together." A small smile reached his lips, but not quite reaching his eyes.
As Hoseok smiled, everything felt bittersweet. And the pair couldn't help but let out more cries. "Together." The three said in unison.
"Yoongi-ah, Boss. I want you to remember me. You were both used to forgetting people. But it's not that easy for me. You're my family. My weird, fucked up family who commits crimes on the daily but still treats me as if I mean the world to them."
"Don't be an idiot, we'd never forget you dumbass." This was the first time they saw their boss cry so much and not scold them for seeing him get sensitive. "Ahah." Hoseok was now running out of words, but he had to say this.
"I wish I could've been more useful. My parents weren't ever proud of me, and I doubt they would be proud of me now. But, I hope you're both proud of me. Because I'm proud to be apart of this family and I'm proud for meeting such amazing yet messed up people." The three men laughed a little at this bittersweet moment.
"Hey, Hoseokie? You know, I think you can be a butterfly now. One that can soar as high as it wants to." Yoongi said. If there was any way he could save the boy, he would. He would in a heartbeat.
"That's nice Yoongi-ah but, I think I like being a broken butterfly more. I don't want to be a perfect butterfly if I can't be with you two." Hoseok's eyes were slowly closing. "Yoongi. Get me the serum, quickly!" His boss panicked, ordering him to get the serum.
"S-serum?"
"It should be in the basement. It's an orange colour. Quickly! Hoseokie please stay with us. Don't close your eyes yet." Yoongi ran to the basement, grabbing the orange serum that was in the syringe. "Here!" Yoongi ran over to him, only now noticing that the floor was almost covered in blood. His boss quickly injected the serum into the younger. Praying to whoever was listening, that they'd get to stay together as a family.
"Do you think it will work?" Yoongi was crying, his vision getting even more blurry.
"I don't know." The poison was now affecting Yoongi, causing him to collapse.
