Feelin' Like A Parasite Tonight

"Ghost! Please don't leave yet, please." Throwing away everything Taehyung knows about criminals, he runs over to the boy, tackling him so he can't move. Sure, he has a knife that could possibly kill him but he doesn't care. A strange sense of euphoria comes over him and Yoongi can feel it too.

"Just, come sit on this bench with me, okay?" He pulled the shorter up, dragging him over to the bench effortlessly. "Do you know how it feels to be unwanted, Taehyung? Like you're this parasite that does nothing but cause pain and misfortune to others?" Ghost asked, looking up at the sky.

"I have, when I was younger." Taehyung replied, not willing to ask how the latter knew his name. "Why did you feel like that?" Curiosity always killed the cat they say, but the thing about curiosity is ─ you'll never know about it if you don't chase after it.

"My best friend; I don't know where he is now but I still consider him my best friend, left one night. You already know that part though. But my parents well, most times they were nice. Sometimes they got frustrated and threw me out, you also know that though. The bullying got worse after he left, my family were too busy arguing to notice the bruises on my skin, so I was alone. My existence bothered everyone back then, it bothered me too to be honest." He sighed heavily.

Spilling his heart out was never easy; he couldn't even open up to his parents about his problems. But Yoongi and now Ghost have broken down his walls.

"I'm sorry..." Ghost croaked out. "Don't be. He left his diary that day he left, I took it but I totally forgot about it but today I found it again. I'm going to read it later on, but Ghost. Why do you feel like a parasite?" Taehyung stared at him, even though he couldn't see his face.

"I mean look at me, Taehyung. I'm sitting here in a suit that hides my identity because if someone catches me, I'll go down for it. I might even get capital punishment, that's not to say I don't deserve it though. I do a good deed, people are still petrified of me. It's not like I wanted to be this way. I didn't have a choice. If I did my life would've been way different. Nobody wants me here. Everybody wants me dead. Wouldn't you feel the same way?" He laughed, not because he was happy about it but because it was the only thing he could do without breaking down into tears.

"I guess I'd feel like a parasite if that was my life too." Taehyung commented. "Oh wow, that makes me feel so much better." He nudged the boy playfully, which thankfully Taehyung didn't take it as an 'I'm going to kill you so you better run now' punch.

"But I can help you Ghost. I promise I can. I can save you. I don't know if that means a lot but I have no intention of killing you, or even handing you in to the cops. So what do you have to lose?" Taehyung smiled warmly, resonating the usual butterflies Yoongi would get with his old best friend.

He doesn't want that to happen again though. As much as Yoongi wants to be saved, he knows he can't be. Or could he?

"I can't be saved, Taehyung. I wasn't meant to swim, I was destined to sink." He stood up, stretched his arms then turned to face him. "Even if you say that, I'll keep finding you Ghost, however long it takes for you to believe that everyone has a little good inside of them. That includes you. Poison is venomous, but that's why we have medicine, it cures all the evil inside of us." Taehyung smiled once more, his eyes were serious.

"I think I've overdosed on too much poison then." Ghost laughed, scratching the back of his head. "It's a good thing I found you in time then?" Taehyung replied, smiling sheepishly. "Yep, whatever you say." In a flash he was out of sight and getting close to his boss' place. He took out the golden ball that was in his pocket and stared at it for a while until he saw the keyhole. He searched his pockets, finding the key and then turning it. "...What is this?"

__________

"You talked to ghost!?" One of his co-workers screamed through the phone, possibly bursting one of his eardrums.

'Yes and oh my God did you have to scream that loud?'

'Well it's not every day you have a criminal sitting down to talk to you now is it?' Sarcasm laced her words.

'I think...instead of forcing him to come with us we have to persuade. We need to show him that we won't hurt him and that we want him to make him a good person again or he'll think we're just like the rest of the world.'

'You mean the rest of the world that thrives off of hurting people for pleasure because they don't believe in rehabilitation?'

'Well I mean I was going to say shitty, judgemental assholes but that works too.'

'Same thing.'

'True that.'

'We'll leave you tonight Agent Kim. Enjoy your evening while we monitor over the cameras.'

'Good night.'

Yoongi's black diary laid on the dark oak table, not being touched in years even a decade. But well, old memories should bring joy right? That's at least what Taehyung thought when he grabbed the diary, opening it up at a random page.

But maybe, he should never have touched it in the first place.
