Recruiting a Criminal

(currently playing now or never by monsta x and deja vu so if this gets a bit rough (^: i blame them)

"New..what the fuck now? Agent?" Yoongi stared up at the tall man who looked just as confused as he did.

"Sure, you're great! You always said you wanted to be a secret agent when we were little." Taehyung grins, hand resting on the latters shoulder. Yoongi sucks in a breath in hopes that if he refuses to breathe long enough, he'll be able to faint and wake up on his cold but homey bench.

Life seems to hate Yoongi though as the question every criminal loves to be asked is brought up: "How do you catch a killer?"

"Whoa, slow down! Ask him something easy first." The man sighs heavily but complies. "Fine. Two cars were involved in an accident in the center of town. The man who was driving a little green car, had overtaken a big black car. The driver had misjudged the distance between him and the on-coming traffic and had to swerve back in, causing the black car to swerve and crash into a shop window.

When the occupants of the cars were examined everyone in the green car was okay, but in the black car was one dead man. However, the driver of the green car was not charged with manslaughter, why was this so?"

Taehyung tries to argue in Yoongi's favour, saying how that it's an unfair question but Yoongi is quick to answer. "That's actually pretty easy. A 'big black car' is also known as a hearse which holds the coffin so obviously he wouldn't be charged with manslaughter as the other man was already dead before he hit them."

The man's eyes widen but he quickly returns to his stone cold expression asking, "Okay then. A homicide detective is called at a crime scene. A man is lying dead in front of an abandoned building. It is believed that the man jumped out of a window off the abandoned building and committed suicide.

The detective asks his team to collect evidence and he heads towards the building. He goes to the first floor and towards the room that is on the front side. Inside the room, he lights a cigarette, walks towards the window facing the dead body, opens the window and throws out the cigarette. He then goes to the second floor and repeats the same process.

He keeps doing the same thing till he is done with all the floors and then takes the lift to the ground floor. Upon reaching there, he informs the team that it is not a suicide but a murder.

How did he know that it was a not a suicide?" Positive that he's the only one who knows the correct answer, the man says the riddle whilst wearing a smug grin but Yoongi is quick to wipe it off. "I wouldn't act so cocky if I were you. If you think about it logically, everyone should be able to get it." This time, it's Yoongi wearing the smirk as he continues, "He went upstairs right? None of the windows were open so rather than thinking about the cigarettes, lets focus on the actual answer. If he were to have committed suicide, the window would have to have been open and since it was an abandoned building, only he should've been there.

"Sure, you could say he could've overdosed rather than going through the window but if it's abandoned, why would he go outside? He could've easily just stayed in the building and die there but he didn't. He was clearly running away from someone which indicates that he was murdered."

"You really thought this through, haven't  you? You're correct." Taehyung grins happily, pulling Yoongi into a hug. "See! I told you he's great" Yoongi all but blushes at the compliment, heart racing and eyes trying to look anywhere as long as it's not at Taehyung.

"I have to admit, you would be really useful in this case we're looking into at the moment. I'll need to talk to the bosses but, other than that you're hired." The last word makes Yoongi's heart sink. "Um actually it's fi─"

"─He'd love to help! Yoongi-ah, we're finally going to become secret agents now! Well I mean together since I already am one." Yoongi wants to, needs to decline the offer but seeing Taehyung smile brighter than the sun, he finds himself unable to do it.

"I guess we are."

"Boss! Yoongi hasn't been back in a few days. Do you want me to go look for him?" Hoseok asks, brows furrowing as he looks at his boss stressing out, hand in hair and blue locks tangled out of panic.

He turns around to give a small smile, "It's fine, Hoseokie. I'm sure he'll be back soon. It's Yoongi after all, remember? How much trouble can he get himself into?"
