Chapter 15 (Season One Finale)

Kakashi POV

"Kakashi!!!!!"

"(Name)..." Kakashi mumbled. He soon opened his eyes in a familiar setting. He was in the hospital in the Leaf village. But how did he get here? The last thing he remembers is being caught in the explosion with you.

"I see you're finally up, Kakashi."

Kakashi sat up and looked beside him to find Asuma and Gai sitting beside the bed.

"Asuma, Gai, what the hell happened? Where's (Name)? Is she safe?" They both looked at each other, then looked back to Kakashi.

"Kakashi, we only found you in the crater caused by the explosion. There was no sign of (Name) at all. Whether she's dead or not is beyond us." Asuma said while looking at Kakashi with a serious expression. Gai was frowning and clenching his fist, trying his best not to look at Kakashi. But he couldn't help himself.

"It's happening again... I should have never fought her. I even used lighting blade against her, my own jutsu took the life of someone I hold dear to me yet again. Why does everyone I love or care about die... what's wrong with me." Kakashi said, tears falling from his eyes as he trembles. Gai immediately gave Kakashi a hug.

"Come on, Kakashi! You're stronger than this! I, for one, don't think she's dead at all! So don't cry Kakashi, she's alive! (Name) hasn't given up just yet on her journey throughout the springtime of youth! Give her credit, she's just as strong as you! Believe in her." Gai said, trying to smile to Kakashi as he also cries.

Asuma then walks to the other side of the bed and places his hand on Kakashi's shoulder.

"I agree with Gai. I don't know her personally, but if she's someone you're fond of then she must be strong. Physically and mentally. She's alive, just ask yourself. Your hunches are always right, or am I wrong about that?" Asuma said while giving Kakashi a soft smile.

Kakashi then wiped away his tears and regained his composure. He was just panicking and overthinking the situation. Once he took in the possibility of you being alive, he sighed in relief.

"You guys are right. She's most likely alive, but she's gone now. It won't be easy to find her, but then again I have a feeling she'll come back to me. I just hope she's still the same (Name) I know."

"Right! You just need to have a positive mind about the situation! And it's not like everything of her is gone. You still have her younger brother around! They're probably one and the same!" Gai says while grinning, hoping what he said would cheer Kakashi up. But it only made him feel worse.

"I couldn't keep my promise to bring (Name) back. He's gonna be so upset when he finds out. I really don't want to see him cry." Kakashi said while covering his face. Asuma and Gai exchange looks one more time and laughed. Kakashi was confused.

"What's so funny?" Kakashi looked at the two.

"Well, you were out for three days and your most popular visitor, other than myself, was the little brother. He's so energetic, he literally spent those three days here after classes. I admire his youth!" Gai says while laughing.

Then the door slides open, and Naruto walks in with a bag full of books from his classes while eating instant ramen. He pauses as he notices the three men in the room, while in the middle of swallowing ramen. Naruto eats it in a heartbeat, puts his ramen down on a table and jumps on Kakashi.

"Baka! Baka! Baka! You promised you'd be okay!" Naruto said while crying into Kakashi's chest. Kakashi was surprised he was upset about his well being than his own sister. He hugged Naruto and ruffled his hair.
