Chapter 28

Your POV

You and Kakashi were walking in the streets of the village as some of the villagers began to stare at you and gossip amongst each other.

"Hey isn't that Tora?"

"Didn't she go rogue?"

"Why is she just roaming the streets out in the open like she isn't a criminal?"

"Why is Kakashi holding her hand? Are they together?"

"Kakashi together in a relationship with a rogue ninja? No way!"

"I heard she committed so many murders in other villages... She might come after us now unless they arrest her.."

"Wasn't she called the Savage Tiger? Due to all the lives she took?"

"Shhh!!! Be quiet or she'll hear you and kill you next."

You kept walking but kept your eyes on the ground. Then suddenly, Kakashi stops and faces the large crowd of villagers that were watching you.

"I suggest you don't talk about things you don't even know about. It could get you into a lot of trouble. So mind your own business before I get upset. Have a nice day." Kakashi said with a scary smile on his face which caused the villagers to stop looking at you two and leave speed walking in different directions. You flushed red when you saw Kakashi defend you. You were expecting gossip from the villagers but not this.

"Y-you didn't have to do that..." you said while looking away from Kakashi as he turned around to face you.

"What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't defend you? Don't worry, that's just the way I am. I'll defend and protect anything I hold dear, which of course includes you." You looked at Kakashi with a shocked expression, but only to find him smiling at you. You had a sad expression and looked down at the ground.

"Thank you... Kakashi." You said while tightening your grip as you held Kakashi's hand. Kakashi sighed and gave you a soft smile. Then all of a sudden, a group of Anbu ninjas surrounded you and Kakashi. Kakashi pulled you close to him so he could prevent them from taking you. You saw the seriousness in Kakashi's face and became sad again.

"Uzumaki Tora (Name), you're under arrest for treason, murder, and several other charges. Come with us quietly so we can take you in for questioning. If you refuse then we have no other choice than to kill you." One of the masked men said while pointing to you.

"I'm taking her to Lady Tsunade, she has done nothing wrong at all. Lady Tsunade put me on a mission to save (Name) and bring her back to the village herself. If you wanna take her by force then you'll have to go through me first." Kakashi said while clenching his first. He wasn't going to let the Anbu get in his way, he wanted to clear your name so badly so you could live again in peace in the village. You sighed and grabbed Kakashi's shoulder. He looked back at you and you gave him a smile.

"It's alright, Kakashi. Thank you for bringing me this far... but I have to go with them. You just go report to Tsunade, alright?" You said while giving Kakashi a reassuring smile. Kakashi was hesitant, but he nodded his head. You kissed his cheek and then approached an Anbu member and held out your hands as they put you in handcuffs. You looked back to Kakashi one last time before you disappeared with them. Kakashi became irritated and ran to the Hokage estate to talk to Tsunade.

~ Hokage estate ~

Kakashi charged into Lady Tsunade's office without knocking or anything. He entered when Tsunade was yelling at Naruto and Jiraiya, but his sudden entrance took her attention off them.
