Doppleganger

*petra's pov*

"I knew this day would come"

She slowly lifted her cloak of her head to reveal a girl with pale skin, auburn hair, chocolate brown eyes and a bandanna.

She....was....me......

But not completely
Her whole left arm was covered in purple veins which lead up to her heart and through half her face.....

"Yes, I am You Petra"

Her voice was cracked and she sounded ill

"What happened to you ?" I asked

"Jesse chose me, I got the wither sickness......he failed to save me.......I died...."

Something about this information seemed familiar to me....but i couldn't quite put my finger on it...

"Listen, I really dont remember anything...Not my past, Not my present.....surely not my future......"

"It's a side effect of entering this relam.....the only way for you to regain your memory is for you to be reminded of them"

"How excatly do we do this ?"

I just realised I was talking to a Zombie ghost version of me about how to regain my memory....

"Well....first I need to know what you remember..."

I only remembered one word...

"Jesse"

Her face scrunched up and she bit her lip as though she was trying not to cry

"Ok....what about him ?"

"I feel like ....we were really close.....and....we had a special connection...and really cared for each other....and-"

"And what ?"

"And I think I loved him..."

She turned around and I thought I heard a sob

"Hey you ok ?" I asked

"Yea...yea...just keep talkin"

"Well.......something about a traitor and a criminal.......and a victim ?..Sorry, that's all that I have"

This felt like deja vu...I feel like I have forgotten everything in the past once.......everything but..... Jess  

Wait!

"I also remember someone named Jess, and.....also something about me forgetting everything in the past"

Zombie petra looked at me

"Looks like you are recovering, slowly.....not fast enough...we need to remind you quickly"

*Jesse's pov*

"So how do we find petra ?"

Ellegard looked at the sky

"I frankly have no idea........but we will find her"

"Lets hope"

The sky was dark, representing the mood

"So, Tell me about your world jesse"

"Huh?"

"Just trying to make conversation" Ellegard replied

"Well, If you wanted to talk about Magnus, You could have just said so..."

She blushed

"Not just Magnus, But...."

I smiled

"You know jesse, I can still remember meeting Magnus like it was just yesterday"

"How come?"

"Well, When he first saw me, this was how our conversation went

"Well You know, Magnus can be a little...off in the head"

"Reminds me of my meeting with Petra"

"Oh? How did that go ?"

"I first met Petra at Endercon about 5 years ago. She was standing by the map booth, it looked like she was buying an iron pickaxe. We were 13 at the time.
I had gone to endercon alone since Axel and Olivia were out on redstone hunt. I backed out since I was ill.
This girl intrigued me.
'Oh CRAP!!' She yelled
'Are you KIDDING ME ?. I am short on 1 piece of wool? Can't you put it on my tab or somethin ?'

'Sorry maam, but 24 pieces of wool was our deal'

I looked through my inventory and found 4 pieces of string ....how convenient, it's like as if there was a plot or something

'Hey, I have a few strings, maybe this could help you ?"

'Thanks! You are a lifesaver!'

Funny she would say that....since she is my lifesaver....literally

She grabbed the string, crafed a piece of wool, and got herself a pickaxe

'What's your name ?' She asked

'Je....jesse'

'Hey je...jesse i am petra'

'Hey petra'

And that was the start of pur friendship

We hung out that day and pretty much the whole week

Then, she got busy

And we didn't talk as much, but we would always say a Hi! Or flash a smile to each other whenever we meet"

"You two are so cute together" Ellegard laughed

"You and Magnus are as good as being Married"

We laughed, i was glad i met ellegard....... I don't feel as miserable as I felt

"Hey jesse?"

"Yea?"

"Petra is lucky to have you...."

"I am lucky to have her.....i just...dont want to lose her"

"You won't"

I nodded
