                   Remembrance

"She does not remember us..." Jesse announced to his two other friends.

"But... we have known her for like.... forever!"
The bulky black haired rouge responded.

"What do we do, Jesse?"
Asked the redstone engineer

"We just... have to wait"

Jesse glanced at the red headed girl standing in the corner.

She looked back at him and gave him a worried look.

"You are the one who saved me.... tell me, Please, What is going on ?"

"We thought you... ya know"

"I thought so too"

Jesse turned away.
He stared at the dim moonlight.
He wondered how things would have been if he had saved Petra instead.
Would she have gotten the wither ? Would she survive. What would have happened if he didnt find petra. Would he have lost her forever ?

He walked back to the group and asked Petra how she was doing. 

"I... keep getting these weird flashes. Of...like... a forest... then... a bridge ?"

"Keep thinking... do you remember us ?"

Petra shook her head.
"No... not really. I mean..I know that I know you all... but.... I dont...Ya know?..... but..."

"But...?"

"But... I know for sure that I know YOU. I mean... before today... I remember being very close to you"

"YES! Petra is remembering you Jesse!!" Olivia shrieked.

"Petra.. do you not remember anything about Axel ? I mean. He was.
Obsessed with you"

"No...but I remember you being obsessed with me."

Jesse's pale skin turned tomato red.

"I.. I wasn't obsessed with you!"

"I could be wrong. But... didnt you like.... keep that rose I gave you when I was 12 ?"

"That... does not mean anything. I just. Um. Liked the way the rose smelt"

Axel and Olivia were smirking.

"Ok... yea. Alright..." Petra scratched her head.

"So. Petra. Do you remember anything else about Jesse?" Olivia asked, smirking

"OLIVIA!"

"I umm... didn't you... try to kiss me once ?"

"WHAT. NO. I DIDNT"

"Right. You didn't try. You Did kiss me!"

Jesse wanted to strangle himself.

"Jesse? Were we.... a thing ?"

"No. We weren't"

"Oh....well... maybe I am wrong. I must have made a mistake. It might have been someone else"

"Yup. You made a mistake. We never kissed. Definitely did not date secretly or anything"

"But...."

"Oh no"

"The person who I am talkin about..
They have a birthmark on their.... left...-"

"PETRA NO"

Axel fell down laughing. He lost it.

"Hey Jesse, dont you have a birthmark on your left-"

"AXEL SHHHHH"

"Wait a minute. How does Axel know that you have a birthmark on your left-"

"OLIVIA! NOT YOU TOO"

Petra just stood there. Confused.

"So.. It was you?"

Jesse gave in. He nodded his head.

"No wonder I remember you. I mean. We did-"

"Petra. I beg you. Please stop"

"Ok... all I was about to say is-"

"NO"

"We did jump off a bridge together"

Axel couldn't breathe.

"Petra. You and Jesse did many things. And you feel like... jumping off a bridge was the most iconic thing you guys did?" Olivia questioned the confused girl

"Yes. Is that... wrong ?"

"No. Its perfect" Olivia laughed.

Jesse just stood there. Covering his face with his palms.

"Oh Petra...."
