Chapter 8

Sabrina's POV 

When we landed we ended up in some baskets in a Chinese restaurant before getting yelled at and kicked out. We were questioning how in the hell we got here before we found someone laughing at us. He looked just like Merritt who we later found out was Chase and was his twin's brother. When we tried to approach the whole restaurant turned on us with guns. Jack stood in front of me to protect me before we were all ushered into a car. 

On our way who knows where, Chase told us everything before dropping us in front of his boss' casino. We walked in with some security before being lead into an elevator. I stood right next to Jack while Lula rambled before the doors opened. We saw someone failing at an easy card trick before turning around to see Walter Mabry. We were then pushed in by the security before Walter started to talk to us. 

After he ended his speech of controlling the grid of Macau and how we got here, he had us seat down on the couch to see a little montage he made of us. Pictures of us sleeping came up before it stopped at one where he was kissing me. 

"What the fuck?!?!" I yelled out.
"That's just so wrong." Lula said.
"Who the hell does that?" Danny said.
"Dude you're a weird one." Merritt said.
"I'm gonna beat the living crap out of you." Jack said getting up and got ready to beat the hell out of Walter before being forced down into his seat. 

Walter explained to us why we were here and what we had to do for him to repay it. Danny agreed on the behalf of all of us before we ended up going to the magic shop Danny brought up earlier. 

-Magic Shop-

 Again with a language barrier for the rest of the team we faced some trouble with the owner of the magic shop. Danny was doing some big gestures and talking slower which didn't help the racist situation that I felt with the owners of this shop, Iongs. 

"What did she say?" Danny asked after the owner said something to Li, one of the workers and the owner, Bu Bu's, grandson. 

"She said just because you're talking slowly and moving your hands doesn't mean she can suddenly understand English." I said. They all turned to me looking confused. 

"I've known Cantonese since I was a kid." I said. 

"Any more that we need to know about?" Jack asked. 

"You obviously know I can do accents, speak Chinese and English, but I also speak French. It comes in handy." I said. 

"So you knew...." Danny started to say. 

"A year ago with Etienne, yup." I said. 

"Awesome." Lula said while dealing with the finger trap while the grandmother went to watch her drama, Merritt left with his brother, and Danny went to call someone. 

I went to help Lula with her situation while I overheard Jack say, "Dylan's not gonna like this."

"What?" I asked when he made it over. 

"He's contacting the Eye and is arranging to hand over the stick." He said and I nodded my head. 

"How is he sure if who he is calling is the Eye?" I asked and he just shrugged before the finger trap loosened on Lula's fingers. I then walked away when the two decided to play some cards. I just listened into their conversation on how Jack gets girls and how I was different from them before Danny ordered the two to go and get Chase while we would meet them up at Walter's penthouse to work on the plan.
