- time skip to the day of the wedding -

"i can't believe today is the day that i get married to the love of my life." pete said as he tried to fix his tie in the mirror.

"need a little help?" brendon asked.

"yes, please." pete smiled.

brendon laughed and walked over to tie the tie. brendon thought it was funny that pete couldn't do it himself.

"thanks, brendon. you're a life saver." pete let out a sigh of relief.

"no problem." brendon flashed a smile.

pete had choose brendon to be his best man. i mean, why wouldn't he? brendon was the one who gave pete to courage to even ask patrick out and whenever pete had any complications brendon was always the person that he went to.

brendon smiled, "i can't believe my best friend is getting married. 

"honestly me neither. patrick is way out of my league and i'm beyond lucky to have met such an amazing guy like him." pete said.

"patrick feels the same way." dallon said.

"holy shit! dallon you scared the fuck out of me!" brendon said surprised.

"hey dallon, how is he?" pete asked.

"extremely nervous, but fine." dallon answered back.

"today is the best day of my life but it would be even better if i could see patrick." pete sighed.

"hey, you know the rules. it's bad luck to see your significant other on your wedding day before you guys are married." brendon scolded.

pete sighed once more, "i know, i know. i just want to check in on him. see how he's doing, ya know?"

dallon nodded, "i know. here, let me go tell me."

pete smiled, "thank you, dallon."

"no problem." dallon said as he ran off to find patrick.

"pete wants to know how you're doing?" dallon asked.

patrick nodded, "i'm managing."

"managing?"

patrick nodded again, "i'm nervous, excited and happy at the same time."

"that's how you're supposed to feel." dallon smiled.

"can i really not see pete before the wedding?" patrick asked pouting.

"oh lord." dallon sighed.

"hmm?"

"pete asked the exact same thing. you guys are perfect for each other and no. it's bad luck." dallon said, giving patrick a small smile.

"is this gonna be you and brendon one day?"

dallon shrugged, "i don't know, maybe."

"maybe?"

"enough talk about me, today isn't about me. it's about you and pete."

"i know, just asking." patrick said.

"you almost ready to go out there?" dallon asked, checking his watch.

patrick nodded, "yes."

"good because you need to be out there in about fifteen minutes."

patrick started breathing really heavily, "oh god."
