- ten years later -

"babe! can you get the kids ready for school? i have to get ready for work!" pete hollored from the top of the stairs.

"sure thing!" patrick hollered back.

patrick quickly made his way into the kids room, all three of them were asleep. he went into each of their rooms and woke them up.

he went into layla's room first. she was the eldest out of the four. she was only four when she was adopted by patrick and pete but now she was eleven.

"layla, sweetie. daddy needs you to wake up." he whispered as he rubbed her back.

she opened her eyes, "i'm awake."

"ok good and go and get ready for school, okay? i have to go and wake up your other siblings." patrick said as he went into the other room.

he went to go wake up carter and noah next. they were adopted when they were just two years old and now they're both five. they're twins.

since they were only five patrick had to help them get dressed because somehow they didn't understand the concept of getting dressed.

he picked out their clothes and helped them get ready. then he ran downstairs to pack their lunches for preschool. unfortunately they weren't old enough to go to actually elementary school now but they'll be able to next year.

patrick packed them both a sandwich with a juice box and some apple slices. the two of them absolutely loved it.

layla, on the other hand, had a very specific lunch meal planned out. she wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a bag of chips and a bottle of water. she decided that she was too old for juice boxes.

when pete went to work he would drive the kids to school and then patrixk would pick them up in the afternoon. patrick was basically a stay at home dad because he took care of the little one.

baby elle was only four months old so she wasn't really old enough to actually do anything but patrick stayed home and took care of her.

"babe! they're ready!" patrick yelled to pete.

"on my way down." pete said in response.

pete picked up noah and carried him out to the car and patrick picked up carter and followed pete to the car. layla says that she is a big girl and doesn't have to be carried so she just walks closely behind them to the car.

patrick and pete put the twins in their carseats and buckle them up. layla gets in between the car seats and buckles herself in. patrick kisses them all on the head and says goodbye and then he closes the door.

he walks around to pete and gives him a hug and a peck on the lips, "see you after work, i love you!" patrick says as pete slides into the driver's seat.

"see you later, i love you too!" pete says as he turns on the car and puts on his seatbelt and begins to pull out of the driveway.

patrick hurries back inside to check on elle but she is still asleep. she is a really heavy sleeper and will sleep through everything. patrick decides to make himself a cup of tea and watch tv as he waits for elle to wake up and he does just that.

patrick and pete are still happily married ten years later with four kids. they adopted a lot of kids because the two of them absolutely love kids. they own a fairly large house jn chicago, illinois near pete's job as a music producer.

both patrick and pete still keep in touch with all of their old friends such as andy, joe, brendon, dallon, tyler, josh, meagan and elisa. in fact, brendon and tyler work at the studio where pete works.

brendon and dallon are married with two kids. tyler and josh are married with one kid. andy and joe are married with one kid, but expecting a second. they're waiting for the papers to come back and meagan and elisa are engaged but thinking about getting a kid.

in other words, everyone and everything is going good. in fact, everything is going great and everyone is very pleased with life.

okay now this book is done for real and im low-key sad because i used to hate this book but im gonna miss it

it was extremely fun to write and it was fun to read all of your guys comments and feedback

anyways what did you guys think of the book on a scale of one to ten?

i'm actually pretty proud of this book but unfortunately all good things must come to an end
