Chapter 32
I woke up, Michael's arms wrapped protectively around my waist. I had slept over at the LA house, Michael and I had played video games all night. None of the boys had really bothered us last night, Ashton occasionally asked us if we wanted food, but other than that, we were undisturbed.
Not wanting to wake Michael up, I carefully grabbed my phone from the table beside the bed, hitting the home button to see my new notifications. I furrowed my eyebrows together in confusion, I had lots of Twitter notifications.
I unlocked my phone, going onto Twitter immediantly. I had gained a couple hundred followers. Why?
I looked through my notifications, seeing people tweeting about me and Michael. I could feel my heart sink. People had found out about me.
I took a deep breath, scrolling through all the jealous fans' hate. I found it amusing how they thought that bashing me would make Michael want to date them.
All I could think of while scrolling through my Twitter feed was, how had they found out about me? How had they found my Twitter? How did they know my name?
I looked through my Twitter feed, hitting a button to make a new tweet.
@stefal : how did you guys find my social media, why are you bothering me?
I added the last part to make myself sound innocent. Maybe if they thought that I wasn't who they thought I was, I'd be safe.
People replied instantly, and I looked through the answers.
@michaelove : a girl tagged you in the keek video, we heard your giggle.
I noticed many tweets saying the same thing. What girl tagged me? I tweeted that question, and a couple people sent me a picture of the account that had given away my identity.
My breath caught in my throat as I read the name.
Marissa.
My ex-bestfriend had ratted me out, I couldn't believe it! Now my privacy with Michael would be ruined, fans would try to take pictures of us and confirm that we were dating, which was something I didn't like.
Me being in this fandom before I dated Michael, I knew exactly how the minds of these teenage girls' work. They get jealous, and start going on angry rampages.
I didn't care about the hate though, I only cared about the fact that someone I had trusted so much betrayed me.
"Good morning." I heard Michael's voice croak from behind me, and I could feel his nose nuzzling onto my neck.
I quickly locked my phone, setting it back on the table before I turned around to face Michael. I didn't want to worry him, so I wouldn't tell him about the fans knowing that I existed. He would probably find out extremely soon - as soon as he checks his phone soon - but I wanted him to wake up first.
"Good morning Michael." I smiled, kissing him gently on the lips. He broke into a smile, staring at me with a lazy, content look.
"I don't feel like moving." Michael mumbled, his eyes fluttering.
"Me neither."
"Then let's sleep for awhile more." He mumbled, pulling me closer to him, shutting his eyes, his forehead laying against my shoulder.

"I swear I'll beat the crap out of your friend!" Michael yelled, he looked furious. I had finally told him how the fans knew about us later in the day. We were currently outside, sitting by the LA house's pool.
"No Michael, it's fine." I grabbed his arm, laying it down on my leg. I rubbed the top of his hand gently as it gripped my knee. I didn't really care that much about this happening, it was bound to occur someday.
"No it's not! I know you guys aren't friends anymore, but there's a thing called respect!" Michael said, his grip on my knee tightening.
"Michael, ow, my knee." I warned him, and his grip instantly loosened. He started rubbing the area he had hurt, giving me a small smile.
"Sorry, I'm just mad. I wanted us to have as much privacy possible. People knowing about us means they'll hate on you, and I don't want anyone to hurt you..." Michael said quietly, not meeting my eyes. He looked deep in thought as he stared at the concrete.
"Michael, I'll be fine, I promise. The fans that hate on me are just jealous little twats." I smirked, and Michael let out a small chuckle.
"Right. By the way, a note of advice, you might want to turn your Twitter notifications off, or else you'll hear your phone going off all day."
"Thanks captain obvious!" I rolled my eyes, shaking my phone in front of Michael's face, "I've already done that."
"Sorry, just trying to help." Michael blushed, still smiling.
"I know, thank you." I said, intertwining my fingers with Michael's on my lap. My thumb rubbed his hand slowly, feeling the rougher texture of Michael's skin.
"Hey losers, last one in the pool has to make lunch for everyone!" I heard Calum's voice scream, and my head whipped to the side to see him, along with Luke and Ashton, running towards the pool.
Their feet were pounding against the cement, and Michael got up and ran, canonballing into the pool. I couldn't move, shock and confusion hitting my body. I didn't know what was even going on, it was almost as if my brain had shut down.
And by the time I was at the side of the pool, it was too late, I was the last one in. Shrugging, I jumped in anyways, my shirt and shorts getting completely soaked.
When I emerged from the water, I rubbed my eyes, looking for Michael. I spotted him quickly, and swam over, he was laughing at me.
"Michael, I don't want to make lunch for everyone..." I whined quietly, making a pouty face.
"Not my fault you were slow." Michael said, still laughing.
"Make the lunches for me." I pleaded.
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"If you don't, I'll never kiss you again." I shrugged, knowing I would miss kissing Michael more than he would miss kissing me.
Michael groaned, knowing I had defeated him.
"Fine, but in order for me to accept this duty, I need you to kiss me right now." He smirked, and I smiled.
I reached forward, Michael grabbing my hips as he pulled me closer to his body. I laid my lips on his wet, pink ones.
As quick as it happened, it ended, and I laughed at Michael as he shamefully got out of the pool, going to make everyone lunch.
